PS3 PS3 controller pressing random buttons?

Hello, some time ago, I had "fixed" a PS3 controller that was randomly moving about. After fixing this drift however, my PS3 controller had begun pressing random buttons (only the face buttons such as square, circle etc) without any input. Though I thought I had fixed it the first time, what can I do to fix it?

I would say a thorough cleaning of all the buttons and the PCB would be in order to see if its a sticky button or other debris causing it.

Make sure everything is seated and connected properly.

Lastly would be get another controller

i had this issue some time ago. there's a rubber/foam piece pushing a small ribbon to the main pcb. after many years this rubber thingy stops making proper contact so the controller starts going crazy. i thickened this piece with some masking tape and all my controllers work like new. also clean the board, that may help as well
