PS3 PS3 DECR-1400A Can DEH convert to DEX ?

I have a PS3 DECR-1400A/Reference Tool and installed CFW REBUG 4.84.1 DECR LE.
I once tried installing CEX Firmware on my PS3 DECR and what happened? it turns out it can !!! I was surprised that PS3 DECR/TOOL could install CEX Firmware but I didn't let the installation complete because I was afraid something might happen on my PS3. I also tried the DEX firmware but the error message came out 80029CCA so I assumed that the PS3 Reference Tool can only install CEX Firmware but not DEX.

Do users who have the PS3 Decr-1400A/Reference Tool also experience the same thing?

Have you tried installing with Target Manager?
I've been able to installing rebug decr le through target manager so I'm wondering what would happen if you did that.
