PS3 PS3 HEN froze and now seems to have bricked my system

HEN kept freezing when being enabled today and the only way to "fix" it was to unplug the console from the socket and then to plug it back. It would do the file system check and then go back to normal. But now it keeps telling me it has to do the file system check and when I press "OK", it goes black and does it again.

Slim with the latest HFW and HEN.

Latest HEN/HFW version does not tell me anything.

If you ain't got anything important on that HDD you can connect it to a PC, launch disk management.
You should see a prompt. Select yes.
Exit disk management.
Copy HFW 4.92 to a flashdrive.
Power off a PC.
Disconnect the HDD.
Disconnect the flashdrive.

Connect the flashdrive and the HHD to the PS3.
You should be able to install firmware.

BTW did you install webMAN MOD or anything other than HEN itself?

I have Irisman and a few games, PS2 and PS3. I mostly used HEN to run PS2 games or to install Oblivion mods.

After a few loops I tried reinstalling the firmware, but it got stuck checking my thumb drive. I unplugged it and rebooted the system again and when the "File system may be corrupt" prompt appeared, I pressed Circle. It actually let me into the system so I backed up all of my saves. I enabled HEN, it didn't freeze this time, and put some new files into the Oblivion mod folder, then launched a PS2 game, immediately quit (this is my go-to method to disable HEN for when I want to play on my legit account) and then it displayed the "Should we tell Sony that the system turned off wrong?" prompt that it actually always displays before the corrupt file system prompt, but not during the loop. It then went to said prompt and actually checked the file system. I rebooted the console again and it launched like normal (the only change is that my theme is reset). I'm still worried about it, but it seems to be working... for now.
