PS3 PS3 no applicable update data

Was trying to mod PS3 cech2003a,
Downloaded and installed HFW 4.93 from ps3xploit, this installed but in my system info it just showed FIRMWARE 4.93, I then tried to install CFW from usb, it started to update but when it restarted I'm stuck on message NO APPLICABLE UPDATE DATA WAS FOUND, I have tried to reinstall of the HFW 4.93 and OFW 4.93 to try get the PS3 back to the way it was before CFW install, any info or help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

I am realising that I never created a mem dump or used flash writer or patched the HFW before trying to install the CFW, have I completely messed up my PS3?
