PS3 super slim question

Guys, so i'm new to this forum. Can someone tell me that can i play free games on my ps3 ss? Or i need ODE or whatever you call that.? Thanks guys.

Free games? Or pirated games?
Free games can be played on any PS3, no need for ODE & we will not help you with any piracy related stuff.

FYI
You can play backups of your own games in iso format. To do that the best is to use a CFW (customised firmware). However to install a CFW, there are requirements.
The console model must be compatible (fat or slim models up to CECH25xx) & the current official firmware must be 3.55/3.56 maximum. If the installed firmware is higher than 3.55, then you must downgrade with a hardware flasher or get a professional to do it.
If the console is not compatible with CFW (slims from CECH3xxx & super slims CECH4xxx), the only option is to use a Cobra ODE.

He is on a Super Slim, he can't go to 3.55. I am not sure about installing ODE on a Super Slim, but that is an option if ODE is supported on ss. I think the backup method could work best.

I already know all this, am explaining the situation to him when it comes to ps3 console jailbreak so he understands all options & limitations in general terms.

Backups injection is not a jailbreak, just a hack & it requires patching game files before injecting them.

Regarding backup injection, depending on the current firmware version, my recommendation would vary.
If the console is on 4.70 max then I would definitely consider the backup injection hack..
However if the ofw is 475+, the backup injection method is real pain in the ass in practice. Adding patched games with data restore utility is an all or nothing thing. I don't recommend it.. But then again it's better than nothing at all..

And yes Cobra ODE supports super slims, always have. The installation steps are slightly different & you need to make your own swap disc but it works fine.

Ok. Thanks for the reply bro. Can you send me the link of how to inject games on ss? I'm not gonna do ODE cause it's a bit pricey here.
