PS3 superslim cmos battery relocate

My PS3 superslim cmos battery needs replacing.
I would like to do a mod to make things simpler the next time i change the cmos battery, by mounting a button cell holder somewhere with easy access (under plastic trim) and running the wires to the original button cell battery solder +/- terminals.
Would it be ok to do the mod?
Has anyone done it?

Not really worth it. Since the battery will last 10+ year.

If the cell button holder fits and case goes back together, I would say do it.

I replaced coin cells soldered to other non console related boards quite often and usually replace with holders.

With that being said, if there are no mounting holes (or smd pads that line up), running jumper wires will work fine, but won't be as pretty.
