Same issue here. I tried on two connections, it sounds like the backend link to download the tool isn't working. Just got another ps3 in the collection that looks almost factory fresh, but got stuck at this point.Hi guys, I have a problem with PS3 toolset, when I click on system manager, it gives me an error, how can I solve it?
This unit was initially on 4.90, I installed 4.92, and got the error on both firmwares.
From what I can gather, this is an issue on their backend serving the files. Bgtoolset does run it's exploits and gains the required access to the hardware. But the tool run on top of that is downloaded when you click system manager or memory manager is failing to download, so that file is attempted to be fetched from somewhere and it is failing to do so. Nothing wrong with your machine or connection in this case as it seems more widespread and I myself tested on two different connections and firmwares.
I suggest also that people don't panic or get frustrated at the developer either; not seen that this time which is good but given that this toolset is done on their own time, for free (and the type of programming involved isn't something many on Earth can actually do, it's incredibly complex and bespoke), BG will bring it back up when they get the chance and the time to review it.
It relieves me in a way that BG does know their self worth here and don't rush in every time this happens or a new firmware comes out when a flood of demanding posts appear, good for their mental health and to the end user. Keeps them well and happy, and keeps the toolset and their expertise around for longer as a result.
If you wish to jailbreak (I only want to read the syscon of a unit that looks cosmetically factory fresh and backup the NOR before I go to later OFW for online use), I would use flash writer. Make your dump first, validate it, then proceed to use it as per their instructions. This is a good backup for when the toolset is down.
A little more involved than the toolset but an option available. I'm just going to wait with this one before I go to 4.93 OFW, it's not the end of the world
Sending my well wishes to the dev team and to anyone else in the thread; hopefully flash writer helps you all out in the meantime. Guide here:

To minimize the chance of bricking, do NOT skip any of the following sections. This process will use a recently released software hack to allow the installation of custom firmware. Check to make sure that your console is CFW compatible. With any newly released exploit of this caliber, there is...
