So ** ** www.ps3xploit.net > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com) > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com has been down for maintenance for sometime now, with all the talk regarding the maintenance costs and lack of donations, this begs the question.... When Is ** ** www.ps3xploit.net > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com) > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com going to be functioning again?

Looking at previous threads it seems its just a temporary maintenance issue but there seems to be a undertone that it may not be able to sustain itself after October which would mean the end of the toolset that is/was being offered.

So the current message is that it's down and it will come back but this could only be temporary due to lack of funding. In other words it might eventually go down for good.

Does this mean I will need to get my E3 flasher out again when I want to install CFW? Either that or I'm installing homebrew enabler using the .com site instead of CFW, let's face it if you can't flash the console this becomes your only option along with the limitations that come with HEN.

I would like to also point out that all the tutorials regarding CFW say go to **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new) and from here you go to the toolset to enable CFW. The point I would make here is that the very first thing regarding donations that the user sees is to donate to **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new). Also its not clear at all the the site is divided when it comes to donations. Infact it actually gives the impression that the donations made on the .com site will benefit everyone concerned that are involved in the site. So I definitely believe that this is a contributing factor to the lack of donations the .net site has received.

Then it goes on to say if you would like to support our team and to help with costs to click the PayPal link below. Is this a little misleading?

So how much exactly is required to keep this toolset going and when Is the .net site going to be operational again? (i don't want an exact time but is it days, weeks or months?)

Like both esc0 and I said before, the donations will end up being used to cover all expenses including the merging of hosting for both domains if we go ahead with that in October, if a handful of donations went to the wrong site, it's no big deal, both need help.

The hosting renewal is in October, the current ** ** www.ps3xploit.net > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com) > Domain no Longer owned by team** (NEW URL = http://ps3toolset.com maintenance is not related to that at all, it is due to the deployment of the 1.2 update that I finally decided to release. It's taking more time than previous updates I rolled out because we have to test a number of last minute configuration changes.
FYI I just did an all nighter actually, 16h non stop sorting out issues with this new setup, it's not finished yet but it's getting there.

Thanks for your reply, So the current maintenance issue is due to the 1.2 update, I understand that. And from what your saying it's days not months till its rolled out.

Is the PS3exploit.net under threat of closure in October? If the .net is under threat will you let the community know so we can all pull together if nesasery to help raise the funds.

I know a lot of us already have, me included, however if more help is required nearer the time, I'm sure the community will step in to save this valuable tool.

No one wants to see your hard work just go to waste, CFW is essential for the longevity of the console and helping to unleash its full potential. Obviously without the toolset this will be much harder to implement onto the system.

Thank you for your hard work and thank you for wanting to keep the toolset free instead of making it a commercial venture, God knows what would happen if that became a reality.

Thanks for the 4.89 CFW support on bgtoolset, really appreciated and now I see a pop up window for the option to make a donation..... That's much clearer and I'm sure you will get more donations with this positive change.
