PS3HEN PS3HEN - Official Release Thread (Homebrew Enabler for the PS3) v3.5.0 (4.93 support)

keeps keeping?i think what he means to say that some games and homebrew after launching just freeze on start up black screening and the console becomes unresponsive ,it started happening to me 1 week ago after i updates fron 2.4.? han to latest 3.0.0 but i think it happens when u quit one app or game and try to start another and it freezes sometimes, but upon restarting it launches it, but soemhow i dont think its that bzos i had it freeze once just after enabling hen and launching a title... thought that 3.0.0 would finally be stable for my superslim pls ..btw when i updated i changed the constant 35% fan speed to dynamic and i think thats the fault bzos i reverted it back to constant fan speed and it has not frozen yet.will give more details if needed and keep up the good work u guys u are amazing

Well I think hen 3.0 is not the problem because I never had any problem or any freezes on hen 3.0 4.84 hfw, but after I have updated it to 4.85.1 hfw I started getting this problem. I can confirm this cos I have tried this on 2 PS3 superslims and on one of them I did a fresh install.

you must have some other issue. 4.85 HFW with HEN package installed updates all the replaced SPRX files to make it exactly the same as 4.85 OFW, minus the silk_webkit.sprx for running exploit, and xai plugin..

the differences in 4.84 to 4.85 are also insignificant, and identical as far as the VSH and Kernel.

we thoroughly tested HEN on both 4.84 and 4.85 HFW, on clean environments and with common apps and scenarios..

you can try using the DEBUG package from developer zip to try catching the problem, over UDP, with a program like socat

I just figured out something kind of cool on HEN. I basically have 3 consoles, 2 on DEX Rebug and 1 SuperSlim with HEN. I make a lot of packages files to install things on my system(s) easier and up until now I would basically have to make 2 separate packages. One for dev_blind (CFW) and one for dev_rewrite. (HEN)

I went into webman on the HEN console and told it to toggle dev_blind at boot like we do on CFW and when I rebooted the system crashed and I had to reinstall HFW and HEN. However, now as soon as I activate HEN dev_blind is toggled and I can use the same package files for all systems.

Update: It worked great for awhile, but it did eventually crash. Disregard.

Hhhh there is nothing special you can even dev_blind to be mounted when HEN enable and even without webMan installed using cellFsUtilMount :)

I've never heard of cellFsUtilMount, but I'm not worried about it. My previous comment would have been deleted but this site does allow you to delete stuff.

You never hear of it because it is used in source files of HEN/Cobra/Rebug ToolBox/multiman,webMan

dont really know where to ask this so doing it here.
my superslim was a 12 or 16gb flash model until i levered a 250gb from an old laptop and stuck that in.the flash memory is now redundant.after HEN turned up i am now able to view the ps3's
folder structure.my question is does the flash memory appear in this folder structure and if so,which one? could it be utilised in a more useful way than before?

Didn't HEN mounts both to "save the scene"?

Install HEN in HFW 4.86 with that :
http://jonathan240196.alwaysdata.net/hen3/

Install latest webman MOD, it's work.

PS : This is a modified version by myself to make the HEN compatible with 4.86 HFW and is thereforenot the official version. It is LARGELY advised to wait for the official version.

EDIT:
it looks like it is pulling official 4.86 file now but official update will go live soon.

Thanks man, now I have 4.86 with hen working. I don't know some users are saying that your 3.0.1 ver doesn't work. WELL WORKS FOR ME. I appreciate your support.
