PS3HEN PS3HEN - Official Release Thread (Homebrew Enabler for the PS3) v3.5.0 (4.93 support)

No the problem i mean in the official 2.0.2 the hfw setting appear all time that is the problem i didnt like to appear all time i like to appear only when hen enable and disappear when reboot system ?

In my fork of PS3HEN, HFW settings only appears when PS3HEN is active. I don't know why the official was released that way :( Now it's only causing confusion.

Okay, the games in ps2iso bin.enc now work, but the ps3 shutdowns when I open the game ... I did database and hdd fixes in the recovery, but it still shutdowns ...

Also, multiman 4.70 retro behaves the same as the latest version of multiman, no iso.bin.enc conversion mode found when pressing normal ps2 isos...
Read again
Go to multiman mode from mmCM mode from last column on left

As for shutdowns, that's because you probably used Managunz or the likes. Reinstall firmware

It is intentional that the hfw settings are hidden when PS3HEN is disabled. Most of the features in it and in webMAN Games will freeze the console or will not work in OFW mode.

If you want that the hfw settings appear all the time, rename the xml to:
/dev_hdd0/hen/hfw-settings.xml
Remove the extension .on if you're using the unofficial 2.0.1 or the official 2.0.2
In the unofficial 2.0.3 beta move the file from the folder /dev_hdd0/hen/xml/ to /dev_hdd0/hen/

I installed the official 2.0.2 and the tools appear with the inactive hen, how do I make them hidden while the hen is inactive? answer for noobs please XD

Do you have a version that installs to HDD and loads boot_plugins from HDD? I saw you have a file called, "HEN_v2.0.3beta_Offline_Installer_HDD_signed.pkg" but I'm assuming this still loads boot_plugins from usb? Unless I'm wrong, which would be great.

Also want to say thanks to all of you, and great job. Really awesome work.

1. It's true! Now iso -> .enc works perfectly! But copyright problem with converted ones ...

2. Yeah, that was the problem! Reinstalling HFW from xmb solved it!

I think it was because of homebrew conflicting with the remapping done when enabling HEN. Some homebrew would mount partitions again, making HEN remappings obsolete, and having to re enable HEN for HFW Settings to appear again. Or at least that's what I understood

multiMAN is one that clears all the existing remaps and break the xml feature for HEN.

webMAN MOD already fixes it re-applying the remaps again when the user returns to XMB.
However, the wMM in my fork re-apply it if the xml is inside /hen/xml without the extension ".on"

But there are users that dislike webMAN MOD... I guess these users have priority ;)

webman-MOD is an amazing product i've had the pleasure of watching grow and become what it is now. aldostools has done an amazing job on it, and I can't see why anyone could hate it.
It has pretty much everything you need in one spot, that you can access from pretty much anywhere if you set it up "correctly".

Massive props to aldos for that fork. as well as the rebug team that drives the firmware I use behind it :)

webman MOD is just beautiful. :)
It exists thanks to @deank for creating the original webMAN as open source.

I only improved it a bit with the help of other developers: bguerville, matsumoto, zar, NzV, OsirisX, Mysis, 3141card, jjolano, Estwald, freddy38510, Joonie, habib, Berion, Brunolee and the feedback from many other users.

Personally I always expected it to be integrated into rebug cobra at some point, with a little more personalized look for rebug, and you'd have a little rebug hat at some point, maybe a tshirt to go w/ it :X

webMAN was integrated into rebug... but it was not good in practice, due I update webMAN very often and the version included in the PUP gets obsolete almost instantly.

Regarding the hat, I contribute with rebug team very often. I don't need credits or a t-shirt for that... ;)

noob question: is there any way to check which ps3hen version is installed? I updated to 2.02 but now I'm not sure if I did everything right -_-;

Slave to all guys, someone can help me with webman mod I can't see the ps2 games the ISOs are in ISO format. Enc the ISOs are in hdd0 / PS2ISO
