A ok, I already do this process to repair that error, great to hide the tools while hen this inactive. Another question some way to hide app_home by modifying some file?
 
I haven't got my issue resolved yet, my original post stated that I was trying to install the 4.84.2 software on my 3000b ps3. formatted the usb and the ps3 will read the thumb drive. I followed all steps by MrMario youtube channel. when I go to update via thumb drive it says there isn't anything there. I tried putting ps3 in safe mode and updating but got a "serious problem has occurred" message. New to all of this so any advice is much appreciated!
 
I noticed that ... if I install the 4.84 hfw, install the package manager, then makes a fresh install of hen 2.1.1, the hfw tools menu does not appear.

to make it appear, I needed to install 2.1.0 and then 2.1.1

I do not know if this is a bug, I found it interesting to report.

I used the versions for hdd (non-developer)

You can download pkg from PS3Xploit and use offline HEN enabler from XMB to update existing HEN. No idea what you're talking about updating "CFW" on PS3 "HEN" thread.

does the webMAN game auto refresh too? makes me think you did not install HEN 2.1.1

SONY probably will not care about HFW or HFW settings, the update does not guarantee 100% stealth or ban protection. Use wisely.

By the way no one has reported any ban reports, and we will not know since nobody works for SONY in this forum.

I am on V2.1.1 (used the HEN Updater option and went from V2.0.2 to V 2.1.1 automatically).

Not sure what you mean by "WebMAN game auto refresh too". For me the WebMan Games menu (and all of it's sub menus) are always visible on the XMB screen the same way as all the other standard menu items are.

I do not have to enable HEN for it to show up. Of course I have to enable HEN to use any of the options in those menus, but they don't need to "refresh" to be seen if that's what you mean.

By default, both webMAN GAMES and HFW tools should stay hidden. and webMAN is supposed to auto-refresh both Category_Game and Category_network which should make both webMAN GAMES and HFW tools appear.


Try run the wMM updater while holding L1 button, you may need to install the full edition to make it work.

And the video I posted explains how it should work.

In all versions and in this(2.1.1), it fails 3 times in my superslim. I have to restart my superslim 3 times to make it work. The third time a homebrew app fails and my ps3 freezes. At the fourth start and try, everything works perfectly including homebrew apps ... mmm ... I have not deleted pkg hentai ... Is this the problem? Thank you for your work ;)

I think I realize the problem. I never installed V2.0.1 BETA that has those features built into it. I went straight from 2.0.0 to 2.0.2 (both official releases) and I installed WebMAN MOD myself seperately as a package file that I got from Github which is the same one you linked to.

Also I do not see any WMM Updater option
