PS3HEN PS3HEN - Official Release Thread (Homebrew Enabler for the PS3) v3.5.0 (4.93 support)

It is much better now to run ISOs of PSX on CD, in the previous versions of HEN when leaving the game, would have to enable the HEN again, in this version 2.1.1 does not need to do this anymore, the HEN still remains activated even leaving the game. Great work guys

No idea why you had such issues. PSX has never been a problem since 2.0.0

Launching PS2 resets the kernel which requires HEN re-enabled PSX does not.

Does PSNPatch on HEN now function the same way that it does on CFW? Does it disable the same syscalls on use?

Yes it does. but don't mess with activating RAP feature since it's done by PS3HEN on-the-fly.

PSNPatch has a bug for getting IDPS from EID and I don't think IDPS Spoofing via PSNPatch works for CECH-4K models.

using webMAN MOD is recommended.

So I'm new to this, I followed all steps from the MrMario youtube video for the 4.84.2 jailbreak, downloaded latest version of everything. formatted the usb and it is reading on my ps3 3000b series. Every time I try to update system when the usb inserted it says "no applicable update data found. any advice would be great

Enter recovery mode and install HFW 4.84.2. if this fails, you should at least try to fix your problem with firmware update process. (A general rule of thumb is to make OFW 4.84 update work).Go to Sony PS3 website and follow their tutorial to learn how to update PS3 first then install HFW 4.84.2

when I enter recovery mode I chose system update, got "a serious problem has occurred". should I try restore file system? Also, I am updated to latest firmware on ps3

Thanks man. Have you got NTFS working? I have done everthing but can't get ntfs to work.
Ntfs works by using managunz backup manager or irisman....i think maybe the prep ntfs homebrew does somthing or maybe those backup managers have ntfs support built-in but am not sure just try it and see

Hi friends, i have a PS3 with the Bluethoot and wi-fi broken, so i can't update to 4.84, i am in 4.82 ofw, and i tried the hen 2.1.1 4.82 ofw, but dont works for me, when i Select "enable hen" in game menu, i get a infinite loading. Excuse my poor english, can Someone help me?, please

Maybe I was not very specific, as soon as I quit some PSX game, the CD icon did not appear on the XMB, I had to activate the HEN again so that it would appear. and if I put another game of PSX to run, after leaving the previous one, the disk icon would not appear until I activate the HEN again .... I hope it has become clearer to understand lol

On the latest 2.1.1 version of HEN. Where would I notice this

"HEN check added to verify if HEN enabled, and to prevent freezing"

is it a notification like WebMan MOD does or is it done without notifying the end user? Also, could you provide an example of when and how this is supposed to work. I tried testing that it was working by clicking on a few items in the WebMan MOD menu and the PS3 froze up because I did not have HEN enabled first. Is this not what this feature is supposed to prevent or am I understanding it wrong?
