Hello team I face a strange problem if I start netflix app and then quit the netflix app (after some minutes) then I attempt to enable HEN (PS3HEN v2.1.1) my concole is freezing (stays power on green light, I cant shutdown ps3 and i must unplug ps3 to shutdown the ps3). Does any other member face the same problem with mine?

It's bug or just a random phenomenon ? (statistically speaking 4/5 my console it freezes if fist use netxlif and then i enable HEN)

Hen is suppose to be enabled on fresh boot :)

Like I said it's not really that concerning, but I am curious how you were able to reboot using the HFW Tools menu when HEN was not even enabled. From my limited knowledge that is not possible for one of 2 reasons.

1.) For the HFW Tools menu to even appear, HEN has to be enabled first. (if you have a corrupt WebMAN MOD versision installed it may show up still, but that's probably not likely)

OR

2.) If you are able to access the HFW Tools menu and attempt to use the reboot (soft or hard) option when HEN is not enabled, the function errors out and you are kicked back to the recovery screen with a messages saying something liike "Plug in your controller and press the PS button to continue..." or something like that.

Did you mean to say the "HAN Toolbox" by any chance, if not I am curious how you accomplished it using HFW Toolbox options w/out HEN being enabled first like I said before.

After enabling hen is seems all working good but when launching i.e. IRISMAN "sometimes" blocks to blackscreen and i have to force shutdown (i think something goes wrong with HEN activation)... after reboot reactivate HEN and always goes well... it's a little bit annoying...

well, not all the time we get a success activation for HEN.

what I do if HEN is properly activated is to wait for the webman-mod notification (top right corner of the screen) to appear before running any homebrews or playing games. Though I already know if exploit is success if the fan speed is changed.

there are times that HEN just dispays error that exploit failed and I need to reboot my ps3 and re-execute it, there are times that no errors at all (runs hen enabler and the browser exits) but the exploit fails, webman-mod didnt load, in this case I just reboot the ps3 and try again, because if I try to run a homebrew or game, it just freezes on XMB.

Did you try to uninstall wMM and install it again? What version of wMM are you using? Did you install some other plugin, like PSNPatch or, xpad? If your answer is yes about plugins, create an empty file, named "boot_plugins.txt" on a root of an USB Stick, restart your Ps3 with this stick, and try to enable HEN.

Oh, so that's it. :biggrin2:

I tried to enable, got error, tried again, error. I saw that the HFW Tools appeared, so instead of a manual turn off/on, I used that, but here's the thing...

...since I was getting error, my mind went "a full restart will make sure everything is fine", so for the first time I decided to try and use the Hard Restart option. As you said, it put me into recovery mode but I thought that it was supposed to do that. So it happened because Hen wasn't enabled hahaha, that's really funny.

So, what is the real use of Hard Restart versus Soft Restart?

i use 1.47.20 (i dont know if theres a latest version but that what I currently use), no other plugins were installed, the only homebrew that i got in my HEN ps3 is multiman 4.82 and movian, the rest are just games. there's no usb stick currently plugged in the ps3, I only plug one if I want to install pkg files.

Yes, i'm on 4.84. i've already tried to do restore filesystem and restore database, install 4.84 ofw and then by recovery install 4.84.2 hfw, enable han (with success), install latest hen (with success) reboot and then enable hen (no success).
If i use 2.0.2 hen enable with success but no webman mod show on right up corner
Maybe it's a bug of 2.1.1?

Did you enable HAN flash mount before installing HEN?

Try to install Hen 2.1.1 again, but first, are you able to open any file manager and delete the "hen" folder in dev/hdd0?

If you can, delete the folder, restar the PS3, go to ps3xploit and Enable PKG Blind, install Hen and restart, and try to enable it from the game column.

Just enabling dev_blind and installing package is enough to get HEN working. Even if you have old files, it will overwrite them when package installed.

I assume you used the regular HDD package?

I use the package that is into ps3hen 2.1.1.rar named latest hen package installer, it is true?
 
pls some help here :( every time i run hen it give me an error "Hen failure restart ps3 and retry" but the han functions still work, i can run my pkg games or install them but if i try to run multiman i just get a black screen or sometimes the error 8009567
