Mine is different, RE0 (i'm using biohazard 0 HD Remaster actually) works perfect but biohazard HD Remaster blackscreens on me, the first game i tried that does that, i read a few pages back that resigning the EBOOT works, i found the resigner (ESSSE v4.5.4) here but there are 5 options there (3.55 ODE, 3.55, 4.21, DEX NON-DRM & DEX NPDRM), i'm thinking of using all options to see which is which and there's also a compress EBOOT option, is there anyone here who uses this, i would appreciate it if someone would kindly advice me on what proper options to use to resign the EBOOT or maybe i should just wing it and see what happens lol!

Thank you, i also did myself a favor and did the resigning bit, biohazard HD Remaster now works (external JB format), just resigned it to 3.55 (compressed)

Yeap that's expected if the files were resigned for CFWs. There are a few games that actually don't run right now which we have been debugging for days. This is also fixed and the next release will have it fixed.
 
To me with hen in iso format it gave me problems, I did not install the trophies and it froze in 90% and it gave error, so I took my license and in folder format it is perfect with the patching on the fly. Greetings

I think you are doing somenthing wrong..ISO/JB folder games dont need licenses...my cobra ode external drive in NTFS format is running the ISOs just fine with webmod/webman/irisman.
 
Resident Evil 0, in iso at first it worked but then it was frozen in trophies, in folder with the .rap works perfectly. Also with the cue / bin of psx on external hard drive ntfs, before loading and not now, and I tested on a ps3 fat and a slim 3004a with clean installation. All this with webman mod .21

the release will only be for HDD and is the only supported one

there will be unsupported developer packages for all other paths.

basically what i am saying is that if you are not a developer, you need not concern yourself with USB and other paths for HEN. If you are a developer, then you should not have any questions as to how each one works
 
I've honestly created an account to ask this one question, as googling isn't turning up much relevant results.

What exactly is Dump Disc Hash Key? I spent a few hours last night trying to see what HEN can and can't do as well as see if http://wiki.redump.org/index.php?title=PlayStation_3_Dumping_Guide was a viable option on PS3 Hen, I've come to the conclusion it isn't viable at the moment but the Dump Disc Hash Key seen in the Hybrid firmware toolbox did catch my eye, so I was wonder if you could elaborate more on exactly what it is?
 
well i guess HEN isn`t for me...i have tried everything and no luck, i got it to run like 4 times today out of literally 50 tries
when it worked if i turned the ps3 off then the next time i get that damn error again "hen failure restart ps3 and retry"

maybe i`ll wait for an update or something

You should reinstall latest_HEN.pkg ... just saying. That works every time I have that error.

I did it 30 of the times i tried...even did an ofc install - hfc twice - han - hen and nothing, tried differents versions 2.0.0 - 2.1.0 and 2.1.1 nothing too. that last one give me the error hen failure the others load as if everything went ok but if i try to run or install any manager like multiman just get another error o if for some miracle it do install then the error "80010017" appear

you must be doing something wrong for sure.

80010017 is authentication failure which is common symptom when you are trying to run any unsigned apps (homebrew or resigned game) without HEN enabled.

well i though so...the thing is why hen isn`t working, if i check in the Hybrid Firmware Tools it says hen is installed with the version and all and yet i get the error "hen failure" everytime. han functions work normally even with that error and today i got it working at ramdon times without touching or changing anything...i´m really lost here

So your issue is HEN success rate being low, are you using HDD version which can be enabled via Game Category without launching internet browser?

Go to internet browser > press Triangle > delete history, cache, cookies and authentication info. Set the default webpage as the ps3xploit page then try again
