v2.2.2 have the PS3HEN bin in the dev_flash but HFW Tools xml and PS3HEN Updater xml are in dev_hdd0/hen/xml/ so just when you buy new hdd put it format then reinstall v2.2.2 to get back complete on with no removed file

latest update now has irisman black screening on every attempt to start it.
I've even went as far as reformatting the HD and reinstalling HFW & HEN & all file managers. Same thing.. Irisman black screens. The PS3 has to be unplugged.

Had the same issue with Irishman. If you remove webmanmod, irisman starts working again.

Just wanted to say that I am using IrisMAN with HEN 2.2.2 and I have had zero problems with it.

I had the feeling for a while, that most problems in HEN 2.2.2 are caused by one of the two following situations:

- installing multiple file managers
- updating HEN from previous versions

Once again, this is just a feeling that I get from lots of other people's comments, it's not based on direct experience because I use only one file manager and installed HEN from clean HFW.

No, the major problem is webMAN still causing black screen when launching other homebrews when webMAN is activated.
Using multiple file manager and updating HEN from previous versions doesn't matter, I already have two file managers and updated 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 through the HFW Menu without errors.

The biggest problem in the HEN is the incompatibility with webMAN while using other homebrews when webMAN is running, it doesn't happens in CFW, there is problem from HEN.

For a time, I tried used HEN without webMAN installed, it worked 100% all other homebrews even multiMAN I used also apps including PSN Patch, Managunz, Irishman all worked perfectly without webMAN, so webMAN is main causing of these issues

O don't have any problem with HEN 2.2.2 i only use multiman. If i want to make a clean system again i just install the HFW 4.84 over my existing HFM 4.84 and then install again HEN? This is the procedure?

so only Irisman/HEN and no webman? or anything else? I'd be tempted to delete rest and run this.

Honestly, I prefer webman (to have fan control) to irisman, so I just uninstalled irisman. It runs well now.

The bigger issue is that sometimes (around 1/3 of the time) it freezes when enabling hen, but I think that's a common issue. It tried with webman installed and uninstalled, and it seems that the same issue happens regardless.

It happens with me sometimes
most of the one or two times in everyday on my ps3 hen 2.2.2
when my ps3 is freeze and then I have to hold the power button for turning off the system

I like webman too for the fan control.
But i really assumed it was HEN updates causing the black screens.
Because on HEN 2.1.1 there was no black screens hangups.
Next HEN 2.1.2 has everything on console crashing.
Then there was a quick patch/update same day to 2.2.2, which addressed some crashing to black screen but not all.

So unless the HEN updates broke WEBman or the way it works then I'm on the shelf waiting..

I tested the new updated Webmanmod v1.47.23, am still getting the blackscreen here and there. I tried this on a fresh hen install. First thing i always try now is running genesis games on Retroarch which always crashes for me with webmanmod. Same with the new version. Removed it and all good. It was stated that the stock Webman works few posts back. Didnt try it yet. Webman is awesome but i think i'll stick to multi and Iris for the time being.

I am sorry for the noobie question but could anyone kinda help how can I know which version of HEN am I on ?
When you enable HEN it says Welcome to HEN Your Version in my case I have HEN 2.2.2 so it says Welcome to HEN 2.2.2 when you enable HEN, also if you have webMAN activated press both :but select: and :but start: at same time, and you can see in which version you are in and also you can see CPU and RSX Temperature while in XMB Menu

I don't know why but I could not see any welcome message. And I removed webman sadly since I have always had issues with it & HEN :(

When you enable HEN it should pop up a Welcome Message as you can see

can any one know how to delete sMan homebrew?
Because webman mod 1.47.23 is not work after sman install

Delete /dev_hdd0/sman.sprx and /dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt, also uninstall webMAN MOD, then use webMAN MOD installer (it creates /dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt)

Or just delete /dev_hdd0/boot_plugins.txt then install webMAN MOD.

Use 1.47.23.2 or .3 beta. The version 1.47.23 had issues mounting /dev_blind
