Hi!
I have a SuperSlim PS3 with HFW 4.84.2, yesterday updated HEN 2.4.0. I use update.xml mod to reach Store and sync Tropies with my PSVita.
Is any benefit from update to HFW 4.85.1 except no more System Update need notification at every start on the top right corner? Because I'm ok with that.
HFW 4.84.2 homebrews (like Irisman, managun, MultiMan) is works same on HFW 4.85.1 to?

If I know right, you should update 4.85 OFW over 4.84 HFW, then after should go with 4.85.1 HFW. Maybe possible can go 4.85.1 HFW from 4.84.2 dircetly, but didn't necessary.
 
yo a que nos obligen a actualizar por que me funcionaba bien la vercion 2.3.3 en mi super slim ahora con esta actualizacion se me queda trabada cada que inicio HEN tendrian que poner una forma de que los que no le funciona podamos volver a la anterio ya q la unica vercion q no se me trababa era la 2.3.3 podrian solucionar eso :desconfianza:
 
There's no any point stay at HFW 4.84.2,HFW 4.84.1 & OFW 4.82 or lower firmware
Hi,everyone please uptate to latest HFW 4.85.1 because HAN & HEN toolbox are working with smoothly without any freeze like HFW 4.84.2,HFW 4.84.1 & OFW 4.82 and also online playable
My PS3 Super Slim's HFW 4.85.1 HEN 2.4.0
Both HAN & HEN toolbox are working with smoothly on my PS3 and also there's any no freeze at Offline Enable HEN

I'm still on 2.1 but do these recent updates completely fix the random freeze that can occur when enabling HEN? I've followed good practice and disabled confirm browser close, usually have USB unplugged too. It's been pretty damn stable for my needs but it still freezes on enable maybe 1 out of every 10 - 15 times. Went almost a month without a freeze on enable and then for whatever reason it happened again yesterday. Multiman and Retroarch are the only homebrew's I use.
 
works like a charm. updated to 2.4.0 automagically as soon as I enabled HEN (I didnt even need to do go to HEN tools to update it to latest version, neat!).

works fine on 4.84 HFW and 4.82, as I dont really care about online gaming, I didnt bother updating those console on 4.85
 
My friend owns a Super Slim on 4.81, but it has a broken BR unit. I would like to install HEN on it, however there's no support for this version , I get a 404 trying to get this file: http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no L...xploit.me =new)/hen/installer/4.81/PS3HEN.p3t. What should I do? Is there any archived HEN version supporting 4.81?

Firmware can be installed although blu-ray unit was broken. HEN exploit only supports HFW 4.82 and up (Recommended to use HFW 4.85).

There's no HEN support for firmware below HFW 4.82.

i think if you put cables and bd drive from another super slim then you could update to 4.82+ and install HEN. After updating you could return the drive and cables to the other ps3. this wont work with some older ps3s but i have swapped drive on slim before. good luck.

But you had webman running when you had that freezes ?
Everytime someone reports freezes with HEN it makes me wonder if they have webman running, you know webman is a plugin that is running at al times so it could intrfere with... everything you do in the PS3

Im not telling that webman is the cause of all freezes in HEN but some of them are caused by webman, and the people is reporting it as a bug to the HEN developers
Thats causing a lot of confussion, people thinks webman is mandatory for HEN, but is optional... most people doesnt even figures they could do a test disabling webman to see if that was the cause of his/her freezes

Another amount of the false HEN bug reports are caused by hdd filesystem problems... and this hdd problems was caused by freezes... and that frezes was caused by webman

Moral of the story... if you have problems you need to figure a way to isolate the problem by disabling hacks and custom code
 
I have 4.84HFW with HEN 2.4.0 on a super slim. how can i update the firmware to 4.85 HFW? Install it directly or first install official 4.85 and then the 4.85HFW?
