Hello,in the last couple of days I installed HEN(latest ver) on my ps3 super slim(4.90) but I noticed that my console is slow!(slow in XMB,saving in games and also some crashes/freezes here and there)Here are some details:
-PS3 is about 9 almost 10 years old but I always treated it nicely,of course it was a little dirty so I opened it up and cleaned it a bit with compressed air,but 'm not an expert when it comes to deep cleaning consoles since I don't want to mess anything up so I cleaned as much as I could but it didn't seem that dirty anyway.
-I bought a NEW HDD : Toshiba 500GB MQ01ABD050 from Amazon and yes it's not a really good HDD but I didn't want to spend a lot for it but it's brand new so it could be faulty or just shitty.
-I already rebuilt the database and restored the file system but those two options didn't seem to do much.
-The fan it's set to manual 35% and temperature seem to be fine,I have the alert notification turned on if it reaches dangerous temperatures but it never showed up.
This whole thing has been bothering me for these last few days especially today since GTA V freezed during a mission since it couldn't load the map.
So either it's the hdd that it's faulty/not good enough or maybe it has something to do with some components that are overheating since I strongly believe that the thermal paste it's "dry",any ideas?Thanks.
