We're able to play the MK games on the 2003/plus versions but, no shadows.
Plus was supposed to fix that. I wonder if the current plus version can be updated or fixed since the shadow glitch is supposed to work.
I've been trying to get MK2/MK3 to work with shadows on my PS3 ever since we could install CFW.

I haven't used the core in a long while or that feature, but did you see if that option can be toggled in the Core Settings when the core is loaded from the RetroArch settings? It could be in those settings and just need toggled on ?
