I will try to update it, sometimes, but I am not a programmer as such and I do not study programming either. If anyone has free time and is interested, it would be a great help to optimize it

honest question, who is this for? every console able to run homebrew in the first place can also just mount disk images and use the system embedded emulator, hell there's even modded versions of the official ones with extra functionality and like 90% of the games work out of the box

This is an older PS3 Homebrew, just modified so it can run on modern CFW and PS3HEN.
It was originally ported to the PS3 in the 3.41/3.55 PS3 era.

The official emulator doesn't have
PGXP (Parallel/Precision Geometry Transform Pipeline) is an enhancement for PlayStation emulation that produces high precision fully 3D geometry data that was not available on the original console hardware, it avoids texture warping across diagonal walls when turning at different angles or corners.

If you ask me, texture warping is what makes the playstation unique and instantly recognizable. Isn't the point of emulation being accurate?

Again, not to crap on anyone's bed, and I really hope this leads to something good in the future, but the modded OFW emulators allow you to use config files and fix stuff on a per game basis. I'm a firm believer you have to have something that actually works before adding features, and not take an old piece of software, say it adds enhancements when it runs virtually no games at all.

This is not an attack on this particular software or person, I have the same to say about the PS1 cores on PS3 available on retroarch and mednafen

Sure but smaller non hd crt screens helped to hide the defects the screens kinda looked like a magnifying glass on a postage stamp like that gameboy & game gear screen clip on, bigger hd screens look like lego displaying sd.

The best PS1 emulator on the PS3 (that was not the firmware's Emulator) Was mednafen_PSX core from an old pete_uk coimpile of RetroArch in my opinion. While still not enjoyable the only issue was speed with most games, many games played if i recall correctly,

Here was pete_uk original release compile

Notes:
Final Burn Alpha -
Based on version 0.2.97.26. Make sure you have the right ROMs or you will have problems.
Genesis-Plus-GX - Sega CD Emulation requires a sega cd bios in the RetroArch system folder (/dev_hdd0/game/SSNE10000/USRDIR/system). The BIOS ROM files be named BIOS_CD_J.bin (Japan), BIOS_CD_U.bin (US) and BIOS_CD_E.bin (Europe)
Mednafen_PCE - PCEngine / Turbo Grafix CD Emulation requires the PCE CD BIOS to be in the same folder as the ROM you are trying to load. It needs to be named SYSCARD3.PCE
Mednafen_PSX - Only runs at 18 - 25 FPS & will not perform better without a dynarec. Requires the following BIOS files in the RetroArch system folder: scph1001.bin, scph5500.bin, scph5501.bin, scph5502.bin & scph7502.bin.

Many thanks to Twinaphex, TheMaister and everyone else involved in the development of this excellent Multi Emulator!!

@ brewology there is an archived DL for 0.9.8 Beta3 with this core included in the "previous version's" tab. I did verify the core is included.

Emulation Accuracy and bootable games are great, but yea speed is the issue as noted.

It needs dynarec support, Squarepusher (aka TwinAphex) who originally ported the code for the core wanted pete_uk to compile that to show the ps3 community that dynarec was needed to achieve full speed.

Could be a bios conflict

If a game(s) play's well, might be nice to see a standalone with the ability to autoboot the rom from XMB.
Like we do with RetroArch

dynarec code is included inside the emu, but you must enable it using another app.

I included it inside managunz and I think it's also included in multiman.
