PS4 PS4 CUH-2015B - fw v4.55 (help needed to jailbreak)

Heyall, I tried to jailbreak my ps4 with no success. (cuh2015b | fw v4.55)
I've been reading on the matter for a while now, but tbh due to my lack of experience with the console I feel I lack the certainty others might already have regarding fw versions.

When I select 'PS4 (4.50 - 5.07)' -> 'goldhen 5.05' from within the exploit host, I get "currently unsupported firmware".
Is it really necessary to upgrade from this version in order to exploit the console? (or am I missing something?), and if so, should I upgrade to v5.05 for the exploit and stay on that?

I dont want to mess it up, so any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance :tranquillity:

Actually the Gold Hen on the 5.05 firmware is considered as most stable in terms of less kernel panics.
But lower firmware is better as always. I won't suggest you to update.

You mean ? Did you use Gold Hen from AlAzif's exploit host.
Code:
https://cthugha.exploit.menu/
Open PS4 (4.50-5.07) and then press on "Hen" and not "gold Hen 5.05", ok be clear.

Note : The payload bins are truly firmware specific so always read carefully which payloads you are loading in exploit menu. You ran 5.05 gold Hen so it won't work on 4.55 obviously.

That's good to know, about the system stability on 5.05, that was my 2nd option if I couldn't manage to do it on 4.55.
Yes, Im using AlAzif's exploit host.

Ok, I'll give it a go, I assumed it would be ok to try that version of goldhen since the dash in 'PS4 (4.50 - 5.07)' made me presume the exploit would work on fw 3.40 up to 5.07 thus meaning that perhaps that goldhen 5.05 (to which i was led to when selecting my fw ver) could somehow work on all those fw versions (although I know everything is version specific to make it work, nothing pointed out it wasn't so this time).

Hen worked, notification said "welcome to ps4hen v1.4", if I go to 'Settings' I can find 'Debug Settings', and within 'System Information' everything looks the same...

Now im wondering what's the difference between hen and goldhen, and what resources should I read for my particular situation, is this it? I should use it like this now? Also im not interested in using it with psn/multiplayer capabilities.

The Gold Hen is the updated version for 5.05+ upto 9.00 firmwares by SiSTR0, you can check the change log and features added in the official git
Code:
https://github.com/GoldHEN/GoldHEN
Although you can run the Homebrew using Normal Hen version from AlAzif host for your 4.55 ps4.

Thx so much for taking the time to explain it to me, now I think I have 0 doubts left... so to summarize, I'm able to use it like this (4.55 + hen) to play my backups and run homebrew, and eventually when I buy more games that require a higher fw requirement, upgrade to 5.05 or 9.0 and use goldhen.
