Hey everyone!
I'm a long-time scene leech and I've benefited for years from the hard work that so many on this site have contributed. I've been running various forms of console mods since the PS2 days, and have a good bit of experience on xb360 and ps3. My PS4 console is on 7.02FW and has a good layer of dust on it, so I started checking to see the state of the exploit scene and it feels weird but fun to start learning a new console like a noob again. I'm eager to get running but I'm also well aware that there isn't a public webkit for my FW yet.
I wait with great anticipation to see what kinds of fun I can have with my system (The possibility of Linux + Steam on PS4 interests me greatly), but I won't bother asking when it will happen... I know it will happen when it is done, and it has to be done RIGHT... not RIGHT NOW, so please take your time with development and we'll be here to test and check when you're ready.
I just wanted to give this thread a bump and share this link from July...

...and to ask if there's anything that an experienced idiot can contribute. I am not a coder, but I'm a proficient user of computers and modern tech, happy to dump console info, test exploits, or anything else that might help our scene hackers make progress. Just figured I'd take a moment to "ask not what the PS4 scene can do for me, but ask what I can do for the scene."
If there's no help I can lend, I'm happy to wait patiently and reap the benefits of your work in due time.

I almost forgot, I wanted to take a moment specifically to thank pinky, bguerville, ShaolinAssassin, and Fin9ersMcGee. Sooooooo many times over the last few years I would've been completely lost without your posts and guides. Many others have helped me along the way, but the four of you have come up time and again with the perfect solution to many problems that I've encountered.
Oh, and a quick note to the moderators: Don't let my username or avatar worry you... I know the forum rules quite well, and you'll have no problems from me.
P.S. - I was just looking through some stuff in my profile and came to my first post... I know I missed some people in the "special thank-you" section of my 1st edit (@Joonie, and habib, too, I don't know how the f@#$! I forgot you, sry...
), and some like BitsBubba and UnknownUsername, are sadly no longer with us. I just wanted to say, to anyone whatsoever, named or unnamed in this post, who contributes to this site or scene in any way, thank you so much for what you bring to the rest of us.
