PS5 PS5 controller battery mod

Hello,
A while ago I've upgraded the battery of DualShock 4 with a 2200mah battery and everything was easy and it works really nice as I get like twice battery life compared to the stock 1000mah battery.
I would like to do this upgrade to the Dualsense controller too but I found out the battery has 3 wires and every battery I find on market has only 2, how could I fix this ? what's the purpose of the third wire (white), it's for balancing the charge or some temperature sensor ?
Thanks

You're hunch is pretty accurate, so yes you are right in that assumption. In my experience the third wire is usually either thermistor (temperature) or single wire serial relating to temp or likewise. It could be a double cell battery(two single cells in parallel), who knows, the only way to find out is disassemble and examination or plentiful delving the depths of Google for spec sheets and things relating to either that cell or similar and going from there. The PS4/PS3 controllers only have 2 leads off the battery packs.and are easily modded, personally my one DS4 has a dedicated 18650 charging daughterboard, an 18650 spring loaded holster for quick cell swapping/charging without using the controller itself to charge the 18650, works very well, although Haggard in looks.
