Potentially a stupid question:
I bought a PS4 a couple of months ago and used my old PSN account to sign in.
Now I wanna change the ID (name) but I have heard that there might be some problems connected to doing so.
I have never used my PSN account much on my PS3, which I mostly used offline. I only used the PSN account to activate the system. I haven't bought any games (except free to play ones) on either PS3 or PS4.
So making a new account would seem easier, right?
Does anyone have any pros and/or cons to pitch?
And, all of the mentioned systems are original/un-hacked/OFW.

Quote from: https://www.businessinsider.com/psn-name-change?r=US&IR=TYou might also encounter some compatibility issues after making a name change. PS3, PS Vita, and PS/TV games don't support changed usernames at all, and some PS4 games might not be fully compatible with changed usernames, which can result in lost saved game data
