PS3 PSP Launcher PSN verification

I'am running the latest rebug CEX CFW. I have no issue running PS3 games, or even PS2 games with cobra enabled. However, once I click on a PSP games or PSX game in webman I have issues.

It is the webman that comes with rebug.

PSP games mount as far as I an tell, but when I click on PSP launcher I get stuck on a screen telling me to verify the license on PSN. I have found similar old threads saying it has issues with other mini pkgs. But nothing worked for me. Does anyone know how to sort this out?

As for PSX games. Webman seems to have issues mounting them. It acts like everything is going fine, but fails to bring up the disk in XMB then throws out an error. Irisman can launch and play the same PSX games but I would like to have a unified backup loader. Does anyone know anything about the packaged webman with the latest rebug and PSX isos?

PS, each directory is hdd0/PSXISO, and /PSPISO.

For the psp issue, have you checked that the game was compatible with emulation then have you tried other psp launchers? I just tested Star Wars Battlefront in order to reproduce your issue, the game mounts fine but I got the license screen with a couple of launchers like you, got nothing at all with yet another launcher but finally the psp remaster launcher fixed by jikkyu worked perfectly well.
It all depends on the game actually...

Psx games should also work fine. Not sure what's going on... No time to test just now, someone else may come up with a suggestion. Note that Irisman is one of the best choices when it comes to psx support though.

The webMAN-MOD build integrated to Rebug is a special Rebug build of wMM that does not contain all wMM features but only a selection made by Joonie to offer webman Vanilla support + syscalls management/fan control/PS3MAPI. With this build, psx & psp should be fully supported.
In any case, the integrated wMM can easily be updated by using the 1.45.10 updater pkg downloadable from github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases. Remember to install the wMM edition you are interested in, check the OP of the webMAN-MOD General Information thread where there is a comparative list of wMM features per edition. It also explains how to install each edition.

For PSP, I installed PSP remaster launcher fixed by jikkyu and it didnt work on any game. However, once I had it installed I tried to run the loaded game from PSP launcher, also fixed by jikkyu. Boom! it worked flawlessly. I dont know why installing PSP remaster launcher fixed PSP launchers verification issue, but it does.

As for PSX, the issue appears to be that some games I had didn't like being changed to other formats. Webman didn't like any of the .iso formats so I shoved a few.bin games at it and it was happy.

Btw iso format should work fine with wMM. Nowadays all my psp games are in iso format actually.

Hi I have same issue,
I know for sure it's PSP launcher and PSP launcher remaster issue since webman mod can mount the PSP iso, all ISOs are on the green list for remaster or PSP launcher. I used normal version and fixed one no result. I thought as it's a pkg it may need an .edat or .rap/.rif file
so I checked to see if one exists on the PS3 -> none I found some info about a klisence that is stored on the lv2 buffer... So here I am PSX/PS2 games works fine PSP can't mount them in Multiman says I need to install PSP launcher in any case I get the license renewal message. I don't know how to contact the dev of this tool because for sure it need refix

I was getting the same PSN/activate message. I installed the original COBRA PSP Launcher from brewology and rebooted. Everything worked after that. Then, I installed the newer launchers and they worked too.

Well, almost 7 years later and this problem happened again.

I tried (i) PSP Launcher [Official by COBRA]; (ii) PSP Launcher Fixed [jjkkyu]; and (iii) PSP Remasters Launcher Fixed [jjkkyu] from Brewology. None of them worked:


As seen in "GitHub #933 PSP Launcher needs to renew license", Aldo said it is an account activation error related, so I activated my user again in the PSN menu and done, the problem was fixed. Just to be sure, I updated WebmanMod as latest release is from 3 days ago (as of March 9th).

Also, funny enough, these Japanese characters are hilarious. Thank god the images kind of explains themselves
