I've never really bothered fixing a psu although I have done some mods to them and I'm wondering if anyone has bothered fixing them, can't find much on the internet but before I delve into it I'm wondering if anyone has fixed the issue, where when you flip the switch at the back the red light comes on but as soon as you press the power button it goes green for maybe .1 seconds and then everything blacks out and shuts off.

I've looked inside a couple that have done this and visually didn't see any damage, my immediate thought would be the fuse but usually you can tell when a fuse is blown.
I've got a few extra psus with this problem I think I might like to get up and running.

i just got a massive lot of 13 ps3s most of which are cecha01 or e01 couple of glods ylods and I'll need those extra psus as a couple do the blackout thing.

Hi the psu's themselves do fail now and then but there really cheap online on a well known auction site, but saying that the issues you maybe be having may not be Psu related and could Be another hardware issue like rsx connections, bad nec tokin caps, bad cell, if you have a known good Psu from a glod unit you could swap that to test the other units you have?

your talking about ylod I'm not. this has always and will always be a psu issue. When you press on the lights go out even the red light. I already swapped with working psus to check. Ylod is a completely different issue. Needs to go green then yellow then red

Gotta love talking heads who don't read. I'm going to fix the ones I have you don't know so please close your mouth
You obviously not smart enough to use a multimeter to test the working Psu and apply the results to the faulty ones!, so I suggest you shut your mouth you gobby knob

lol toxic af that's the next step after asking the community you are clearly talking about yourself as you have no idea what the issue is. It's called consulting dummy there's a lot of very well trained smart members(unlike yourself) with a lot of experience who may be able to point me in the right direction before I waste time as (uSiNg a MulTiMeTer) can eat up a lot of time.
Someone's definitely a rude gobby knob whos an over sensitive basement dwelling troll but it's definitely not me! Waste your time on someone who cares. You should have been aborted.

I will as you put it "piss off" now from you're thread, but I really can't see many people offering you help you got the worst attitude I've come across on this forum in 6 years.
