PSX to PKG Conversion?

thanks for the video link mndxgood to know but im more interested in the pkg side of the game. but i tried the tutorials again but i changed some of the tools to choose so i used PS3xploit-resigner-2.0.0 instead of the one suggested. and i also used a different psx to psp eboot converter. then followed the rest of the steps but didnt sign the pkg just left as is.

loaded it up installed it and it worked no black screen dont know where i went wrong before as i done the exact same things but changed programs which done the same things as the programs suggested

but hey all worked in the end

thanks for all your info on this thread appreciate it

hi i used PSX2PSP v.1.4.2 i know its the same program as all the others but this is the only one that i could change to classic mode as theme mode wouldnt join the 2 disk game to 1 eboot.
all other had error when i clicked on classic mode it said it didnt exist

When i want to run 2 discs games like driver 2, Syphon Filter 2 or Alone in The Dark always give me the 80028F17 error. I can install the games, but i cant run them, please help.

With single disc games works fine

Hi mndx, i have Rebug 4.82 on my PS3, use PSX2PSP 1.4, the same that came with the Aldo's link.

Use too PS3 Tools Collection to make the PKG's and i have no problems to make PKG's and run PS1 games with single disc, but with games with 2 or more disc, always return to XMB with that error code when i attemp to run, no matter what

hmm sounds like an ISO.BIN.DAT/EDAT problem, probably wrong disc offsets. try making the DAT and then EDAT manually with make_psone_classic_metadata and make_npdata tools, place the created EDAT in the \USRDIR\ folder of the package before creating the pkg.

Make all the old process? With command lines and stuff or how?

i dont know what you mean with ''the old process'' but it's quite easy:

drag n drop eboot over make_psone_classic_metadata, then go to cmd and change directory to the one where the eboot, the generated iso.bin.dat and make_npdata tools are and enter: make_npdata -e ISO.BIN.DAT ISO.BIN.EDAT 1 1 1 0 16 3 00 UP9000-YOURGAMEID_00-0000000000000001 5

change YOURGAMEID to the main game id of your eboot given in psx2psp during eboot creation

Thank you mndx, it works, the _Fix_EBOOT.PBP_.exe was the problem, manual method create the correct EDAT with multidiscs. Hope someone Fix the Aldo's .exe

Yes, it's more simple.... and I've reduced your steps a bit more ;)

_Fix_EBOOT.PBP_.exe calls "make_psone_classic_metadata.exe" to make the ISO.BIN.DAT from EBOOT, execute make_npdata.exe and edit the PARAM.SFO with the title id and game title. I also replaced the ICON0.PNG with a generic icon.

Only 4 steps are needed:
1. Create EBOOT.PBP from iso with PSX2PSP (Compression:0-None)
2. Place EBOOT.PBP in workbench directory
3. Run _Fix_EBOOT.PBP_.exe (wait until EBOOT.PBP is moved to PKG directory)
4. Make PKG

When I drop the eboot into _Fix_EBOOT.PBP_.exe it doesn't do shite.
