Question about playing games from External HDD on PS3 Slim (3000 series)

Hello
Is that possible to play backup games like Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (which isn't compatible with CFW2OFW) on a PS3 Slim (3000 series) ?
if that's possible then how? via PS3 HFW and multiMAN ?

Running games from external HDD on non-jailbroken PS3s are possible via HEN exploit with webman mod full mode. No need CFW2OFW as most games can be run via HEN and also multiman/irisman/managunz or even webman mod itself.

At this time i have a PS3 Slim (3000 series) with 4.82 OFW (PS3HAN is installed), should i update?
how is the stability of PS3HEN (latest version) ?

You can do this with HEN, the best way is rip the game disc (back it up) and convert it to ISO format which has the best compatibility rate as games can have issue's in JB folder format, such as black screen on boot etc.

Using IRISMAN to convert the game to ISO format is the best option as it use's what's called "makeps3iso" which is the bast for compatibility. MultiMAN use's "genps3iso" which can have issue's with certain games but still works for the majority of games.

Also instead of being limited to an FAT32 format HDD that would have the 4GB file size limit you can use NTFS format and mount the games through IRISMAN as well and NTFS is perfect for those large ISO conversions.

Yes, u can play via external. But for some game need to install data to internal

Most of the time, PS3 game isos and its JB folder game can be obtained by dumping its contents from the PS3 game disc into PS3 HDD and it can be done by using multiman or Irisman.

For NTFS drive support, install webman mod and activate the full mode so you can use it without additional plugins.
