PS3 Question/request for PS3 ability to screen mirror via anycast?

Hello Members,

I have a PS3 connected upstairs at my home. I had a fantastic idea of somehow being able to come downstairs with my controller and being able to play my PS3 games on the TV situated there. This obviously without having to move my physical console.

Currently, I have an "anycast" dongle connected to my SAMSUNG TV, it is quite an older smart TV and the screen is basically a huge plasma. However I suppose any newer LED smart TV would be able to screen mirror without an anycast dongle.

The question is then, without using the simplistic remoteplay software which was basically a Sony VAIO utility once upon a time. It is horrendous and at 240p it is not doable or practical. Can this be done?

Requirements:

- CFW PS3 of course.
- Maybe a PKG on the PS3 that could stream/duplicate(if possible) the video output to an IP on your local network.
- Or have the PS3 via a homebrew PKG connect to the WIFI of the TV or the anycast
- Currently the anycast has a mobile app for both Apple and Android which facilitates this process.
In addition, if you have a smartphone you could as well just screen mirror to a smart TV with compatibility.
Any way you perceive it, if you can do it then it would be great. I think some can benefit from it. I don't know
how the scaling would work but I think this is pretty cool. If it can't be done, it can't be done. No biggie! :)

What would have been great is if this could have been a part of Webman Mod. @aldostools or even if it is standalone, does not matter.

The input lag would make any game unplayable. For the system to process the game and stream would be to taxing. Even Sony's official Remote Play for the PS3 is terrible. So much in fact they lost a lawsuit for improperly advertising a feature. If the guys that own the system can't get it right the chances are almost nil as the user base is just two small to dedicate the time and resources for a handful of folks to use.

I agree to what you are saying. The PS3 is simply just too limited in resources.
Surely it is not an easy task.

@ManyFoldz Thank you man, I will check that out. Have you used it before?
I haven't mate but i have used one of the old scart lead transmitter and receiver kits back in the day (early 2000's) and it worked perfectly so i can't see why these wouldn't be any different with the technology we have these days
