Hey everyone, figured this would be a good introduction post as any, with a mini side story. Hoping this place is *nothing* like psxhax, full of clickbait and quite frankly the posting of fake news. So much so, I speculated that a JAILBREAKING thread tagged with "6.20 ps4 kxploit, covid-19, amd, cdc.gov" was posted for no other reason than to generate as much traffic as possible with zero factual content, and for the intention of leading people on/collecting ad revenue every couple weeks.

Today I go take a looksie, not only did I find the account disabled, posts were deleted, anybody that had replied to my speculations also had their content removed, and the thread locked by those feeling guilty/struck nerve.
Not going to re-post, but I thought this deserved a screenshot, and I think people deserve to know psxhax is run by shills. Relevant images attached, have a great day everyone!

What would You expect from PS2NFO.com? They rebranding so many times that even I forgot which domains they have. I'm not sure if I remember good, but isn't that site responsible for Dark Alex left? It looks like this provide them money to run it from decade. Sad, but not my business anyway.

No one here creating fake news for clicks, cash and bitches. ;) Relax. If something going to main page, it is real for sure.
 
Does anything good ever come out of that PSXHAX site..anyone? Has there been any NEW hacks or homebrew for PS3/PS4/Vita to be first released on there? :)

People who try that kind of crap on here get found out almost instantly, roasted and shamed to death by members and devs for being frauds, fake and scammers. The Admin and Mods have ZERO tolerance for shady crap is normally removed from the site. Same with people who try to post sketchy apps and stuff. It's a very big mistake to try that on here and if you try your basically playing with fire.

And expect nothing less on PSXHax, it has a long standing history of posting crap, stealing news, changing apps from devs then trying to claim the credit themselves. It quite literally is the WORST SITE to use. It got so bad at one point the owners personal details were posted online and he was receiving death threats from people all over the US, I am not sure but I think someone actually turned up at his house because of some of the damage caused to consoles and devices by the sketchy tampering crap that went on there at one point.

You will find nothing like that on here, you will find knowledgeable members who will help to the best of their ability to help you with what you need. Most, if not all, of the scene dev's post there stuff on here or frequent the forums. most likely the best site on the net for PS hacking and homebrew is this one.
 
@antagonist Welcome to PSX-Place :) This is a great community with many highly knowledgeable and helpful members, developers and our admin is a no-nonsense, decent guy who is highly respectable, and indeed respected. As Cypher has said, you won't see any shady stuff here, but on the off chanceyou do, just report it and it won't be there long I can assure you :) If you've not already done so, please do take a moment to familiarise yourself with our Site/Forum Rules & Guidelines. Here you find a lot of content and none is fake, every news that you see in here is based in source, i personally dont talk without a source so do the others. Welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay in here.

Yes, they rebranded apps, bricked PSPs (and PS3s?) with their shit and so on...
Dang... They are worse than any other site related to this topic... and I include dictatorian sites there!
 
Hard to say which was first but this one is for sure one of them. In PS2/XC/GC/DC/PSP times, scene sites generating much income, because peoples interesting in hacking consoles - for warez mostly (as always...) but also for media player (DVD-Players back then was extremely limited and cost a lot of money, there was no phones which could play DivX, no cheap Android computers and other Chinese crap) and emulation (the same reasons) which was exploding. Golden age. And peoples behind ps2nfo/ownz/whatever multiplicating domains, rebranding apps (Jesus! that was cheap) etc.
 
hello, I reply to this thread after centuries, I just want to have my say. new hacks or new homebrews are discussed in the major "modding" sites, it is easy to understand if a cfw is clickbait and is potentially harmful to our console.
example =xbox one has never received a hack, at least not public, if a site advertises files and is not written anywhere else, this makes you think no?
