Yes, it should work on Ferrox 4.87 without needing to do anything extra. I just checked the category_game.xml and it has support.
 

I have an idea, the particles in the theme move as it appears in the video. I wonder if different themes can be made by using this feature? For example, Flying Feathers (It works even if you move it left and right)
 
I do not think we can replace the particle textures with feathers if that is what you mean. You can mess with the that interactive "wind" effect by messing with values in the lines.qrc. You can increase the effect and also enable it for left and right scrolling too.
 
Hi!
Does anyone know why when I install the toolbox it doesn´t appear on the XMB?? I´m on Rebug 4.86, it should work.

It does work on Rebug 4.86.1 if the category_game.xml has not been modified by other apps. You could reinstall Rebug and that should enable it.

OR you can manually enable it by editing the category_game.xml to have this query.

Thanks a lot, it worked!! Adding that lines to the category_game.xml solved the issue. I don´t know why it didn´t work at first, very strange.
Next time I update to another firmware version it will remain or I have to modify the .xml again?

It should be fine. Some other apps or other xmb mods can replace the xml without you realizing. By default the main 3 custom firmware PUPs have support by default. By that I mean Rebug, Evilnat and Ferrox.

The next version of ultimate Toolbox will hopefully add support itself while installing as a workaround for this issue.
 
Hello there! Thanks for this complete suite.

One question: i have "xmb_cfw-settings.0.1_by_mysis (aldos mod)". This didn't modify the "category_game.xml" but add some other files as "category_network.xml", etc. Unninstalling this pkg won't restore the original files overwritten i suppose, so i was thinking if my last resort is reinstalling the CFW or trying to "extract" the CFW.PUP and copy the original files (i don't know how exactly).

I am not really familiar with that mod, You basically want to remove the cfw settings mod yeah? You could just look in the category_network xml and remove the query for it. Then not worry too much about the other files, they are only tiny and will not do anything without the query.

Yeah, thats a safe procedure to revert the changes made to the .xml files, use this tool to extract them from the PUP

Noticed there is an option that copies flash2 & hdd0, would this be faster than using a file manager to copy? I want to extract all my contents to a new HDD as it's on its way out. At the moment I am copying hdd0 using file manager on 1tb HDD and it's got 79 hours left to go lol.
 
In my tests it did about 11gb per hour to USB. Remember there is no 4gb+ file support on FAT32 and it is an experimental feature.

Tbh I find ftp fairly quick for stuff like that if it's set up right and using a dedicated ftp app. Depending on how many small files you have it can get like 30gb an hour. Large files like ISOs you can get like 60gb per hour.
 
this may be a stupid question but a:can hen toolbox and ultimate toolbox work side by side? i know you have a hen query add so i was just wondering.also B:if im trying to use this on hen should i use the base pkg file or the full pkg file.unsure what the difference is @DeViL303

Why does your PS1 games folder looks different?

Yeap i know about content grouping and etc

But i didn't know the PS1 folder has a gradient like effect, i only used PS1 as ISO.

I must have corrupted it before somehow because I've added to that xml in the past before. I just reinstalled everything from scratch and altered the xml. Both are showing now and functional. Thanks

Hi, there is a v1.04. but its a work in progress. It's getting close to release. It has a ton of stuff added. Probably be a couple more days and I will be looking for testers to test it before proper release.
