Ultimate Toolbox

PS3 [RELEASE] ★ Ultimate Toolbox v2.03 - It Only Does Everything! v2.03 (FW 4.84 - 4.91)

How can i activate download update via hdd and delete update via hdd?
You need to:
  • QA flag the console. If you have not done it already, see Ultimate Toolbox > built in apps > QA Toggle.
  • Then when it is QA flagged, do the button Combo to enable debug settings to appear. see here https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Button_Combos
  • Then enable System Update Debug in Debug settings

Once it is enabled it will stay enabled.

So this allow also to actually change console region like it was on HAN Toolbox??
Not sure if I understand.

The PS3 is region free, Not sure I remember any option to change the region in HAN Toolbox.

If you mean something related to using DEX vsh.self to add non QA debug settings then no, this does not allow anything like that.

Yes it was about that, thank you for the info.

I changed region to North America for playing my games (PAL region) at 60HZ having the Ps3 connected to a CRT TV through SCART-RGB cable.

This makes a couple games (First of the north star ken's rage and One piece pirate warriors) unusable though (editing PARAM.SFO doesn't help), as well as Ps1 downloaded games.

Maybe just editing the registry (video output and region options) can do the job for those games.

I have read a lot now and was a bit entertaining. [emoji3060]

Must Day Good work. And i can confirm that UTB2.0 working on least rebug.

I am interested to learn the most important local directorys. So I can organize better.

What location does UTB uses?
And wat is the best locations for.
PKG, ROMs, Theme, PS2,PS1, others

UTB files are all in the dev_hdd0/game/ULTOOLBOX/ folder.

For other stuff not related to UTB they all have their own folders like:
dev_hdd0/packages/
dev_hdd0/ROMS/
dev_hdd0/theme/
dev_hdd0/PSXISO/
dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/

Is there any way to sort games and ROMs better in this utility?

List is kind of long ^_^

Add folders or add tags on them and then sort them?

No not really, this Toolbox has nothing to do with ROMs or games really. Maybe you are thinking of webMAN MOD.

I am searching first of all information if it was possible. And hope this add on that could do it. It have a slogan that it perhaps was a way. [emoji3526]

I check webman then we if it can do it.
Must be more then I that needs this. To get a bit better organized in game list.

It's funny. I use my PS3 more then ever now sense I buy it..

Thx.

Just asking, is it possible to change the "Press X to continue, Press O to go back" based on console's region? For example, mine is A00 so it should be "Press O to continue, Press X to go back".

If you paste this USRDIR folder into the dev_hdd0/game/ULTOOLBOX/ folder, overwriting the existing files it should do what you want.

I just did a find and replace and swapped the icons. Not tested but should be fine.

I love UTB2.0....
I was reverting my changes back to factory defaults
*standard waves, power options, etc
I uninstalled UTB2.0
I wanted to get back to CFW "Fresh"
Now I reinstalled it and now when I go to add back
- TOGGLE POWER OPTION
- ENABLE POWER OPTION
It does not give me the soft/hard reboots off of the main menu anymore
Even if I DISABLE - REBOOT - ENABLE... it does not show

Is there something I can do force that back?

Nevermind - It is in FIRMWARE SETTINGS
I am good

hey, i got this problem that when i´m trying to install UTB2.0, it doesn't appear on the XMB so i tried to install the 1.03 version and it shows on the menu like is supposed to.

In my attempt to use the latest version, i edited the category_game.xml file adding the query with the other ones near the top and it doesn´t work, i´m not sure if i added the query on the wrong place and it seems that the only version that works is the 1.03.

I have recently installed 4.87 Ferrox and it should work like normal but i´m not sure what is causing this.

When you install UTB 2.00, you should get this new icon in the game category with your games and homebrew, you need to click that to get it to finalize the installation. Then it should show up on any CFW or HEN.

You should not need to modify any xmls on any CFW or HEN now.
