I have a question. What is the difference between this tool, Ultimate Toolbox, and this one, HEN Toolbox?, specially for someone using HEN only and not CFW. This makes me a little confused, since they both seem to work on HEN, they have some similar functions and both are up to date.

Ultimate Toolbox has way more stuff, but HEN Toolbox is good too, it just has not really had any proper updates for years, it just gets updated for compatibility with new HEN enabler, which is a small change really.

It does have a couple yes, but its like 99.9% compatible with HEN (from 4.84 to 4.88 HFW)

It's in the sprx. Separated by nulls.

The funny thing is they put "factory service mode" also separated by nulls, but it actually displays like that on the XMB with the dots, I do not think it was meant to, or maybe it was, idk.

You can remove the spaces from the factory service mode text, and then have room to include a warning like "Do not install FW while in FSM" or something like that.

@DeViL303 where you posted your modded xmb_plugin.sprx? I couldn't find it.

hey so i'm a stupid idiot who installed it on 4.89 because the brewology link had no warning, and now HEN doesn't enable, meaning i can't fix it, what do i do?

Reinstall HEN

Thank you for your feedback. I just added a warning about 4.89 compatibility.

Your issue should be fixed reinstalling HEN like LuanTeles said.

@DeViL303 isn't better to re-release the ultimate toolbox with the fw verification disabled in the HEN script?

I removed it since 4.86 on the PS3 Pro and no problems so far, it enables HEN on every FW version.

by doing that the only issue will be the layout problems on 4.89 using impose.rco mods (i think it's the only one that could cause this in the toolbox) at least if the user install it on the wrong FW , they will still be able to enable HEN

Sure, I did not know we could do that, it would have been much better.

I don't know why the script checks the fw version, but removing it just makes things easier.

When removing the version check i only noticed that it takes longer to enable it, but strangely renaming PS3HEN.BIN to other names helps, I use HENPLUS.BIN and it activates quicker.

Wish I had of known that a few years ago. The amount of hassle firmware specific HAN/HEN enablers has caused basically put me off making any more XMB mods for them.
