Now this PS2 was a strange one where FreeMCBoot didn't work at all, I just assumed it was an incompatible console but then someone pointed out that it might be a CEX Debug console or something like that. I didn't notice anything odd in the specs file to indicate that but someone with more knowledge then me with the special consoles will be able to give a better answer.

Btw, thanks to the people in the PS2 Scene discord server for helping me with figuring out this weird console. I appreciate it

This is an early European set, which has ROM 1.20. If your FMCB installation is a normal version and was made using a newer model, then that would be why it isn't working - this PS2 expects a different filename.

The thing about that is while I was troubleshooting I tried the fmbc card I use on my 30001 GH-05 PS2 which is my main console I use for playing games and also has a a 1.20 Rom version, that didn't work ether. On top of that the 1.20 Beta for OpenTuna also didn't work, but DID work on all 2 other C-Chassis 1.20 systems I currently have in, same with Fmbc. I've ruled out the memory card slots being bad as they function fine outside of homebrew.

In the end the only way I could get into ULE was a complicated version of the swap trick and only then could I get access to PS2Ident. We've pretty much ruled out that this is NOT a debug system or anything like that. So I have no idea.

Even making an fmbc card for that console specifically by installing the "normal" option after I got ULE to start didn't help, still a black screen.

This bootrom should support path BEEXEC-SYSTEM/osd130.elf, so if you select Normal Cross-region installation, it should work. @AlmightyStokie you can check your memory card, if you have that file in that folder, that means that FMCB installed just fine.
