Resident Evil 6 Black Screen (BLES01465)

I'm trying to play RE6 using webMan, it starts but after setting the brightness it start the loading and then I get a black screen an nothing more. If I press the PS button, nothing is showing up.

Can someone with a copy of RE6, dump it and test from internal hdd? Thanks a lot.

Is it in JB Folder Format or ISO...? Its did something similar for me in JB so convert it to ISO and it should work ok< I am sure this is all I did the game to get it to work.

Failing that it could be a bad rip of the game and you might need to rip the game again, but IOS format should work for you .

You should not need to touch any of the game setting's in MultIMAN anymore, especially if using a cobra cfw, Cobra does all this for you. All game settings in MultiMAN I have not touched and all my games play without issue. Normally Converting to ISO solves most issues, and patching the game to 4.20 with PSN Patch solves others.

If using a standard CFW without Cobra, then use the Mamba payload as it is more or less very similar to Cobra now and does more or the the same things.

I can confirm his problem as multiman needs to be configured in order for the game to launch as the game setting need to have internal and bd mirror icon highlighted as well set access permission as I had no bd mirror option causes resident evil 6 to have black screen and ps3 lock up.

With both internal and bd mirror is highlight resident evil 6 works on my ps3 cechc03 with missing bluray drive

Did non of that> converted to ISO > game worked. These are more or less "legacy settings" that are not needed anymore really. There is a tut out there somewhere that tells you what all these game settings functions are actually for.

This is from way back in 2011 and is incomplete but gives most of the info needed on MultiMAN's functions > and 99% of the game settings are not needed anymore as Cobra does most of this for you on the fly.

Cobra does BD mirror for you. If your using a NoBD CFW then you might have to as NoBD patches can mess about with Cobra functions.

But the OP has put this in the HEN sub forum, so is assumed is useing HEN. HEN use's part of the Cobra payload as well, and No NoBD option's are available for HEN as the CoreOS (lv1.self) cannot be patched to allow it

So converting to ISO is all that really should be needed to make the game work.> I have done this on my HEN system as well as CFW PS3's and this works on both.

In fact having your games in ISO format these days is the best all-round option for compatability.

I own the game so I ripped it from disc to iso .The game isn't the problem it to do with multiman that need setting up for every ps3 games. I was having black screen on every games I own till I set the option for internal and bd mirror it been working ever since.

I had to use noBD cfw as I got another ps3 cechc03 with a missing bluray drive due to the last owner ripped the ribbon slot off the main board if I used a standard cfw it get stuck on update error. But I'm after buying another ps3 cechc03 with hard drive problems

So I do I own the game .... but your issue's are caused by the fact you have a NoBD patched CFW> IT BREAKS SOME COBRA FUNCTIONS! Basically put your PS3 is not running like it should be and niether is the cobra payload..... So you may have to use these legacy settings.

From what I have seen in other posts you are using REBUG REX 4.82 NoBD. Do you have Cobra enabled? I didn't even use these settings with cobra disabled.

You do not need to setup every game for multiMAN, or do I need to post proof screenshot pics of some of the 60+ games currently on 1 of my PS3s 1TB HDD > and the games on the 2 2TB external HDDs connected to it and prove that non of these setting's are needed if your PS3 is working 100% fine.

Sod it here are a few of them, including problem games that normally need converting to ISO to work correctly> but I have not and the still work 100% with no issue's on and offline, these are all in JB folder format on the Internal HDD and all that has been done to some is they are patched to fw ver 4.20.

BUT ISO is the recomended format to have your Games in.

Well in my case I had to set it up for every game otherwise it won't load and cause a black screen since I dont have the original bluray drive so what other choice do I have. What works for me may be different result for someone else. As I currently trying out a few different nobd cfw to find one that works for ps3/ps2/ps1 as the rebug 4.82.1 noBD Lite don't work well for me as ps2/ps1 iso loaded but nothing happened then tried using ps2 classic placeholder resulted black screen and locked up ps3
