what kind of setup do you use for better fps? gpu sync?
many games run fine and have no framerate drops. I often use shaders and wanted to know from you which ones are best for the various platforms.

snes and genesis i use anti-aliasing called advanced-aa.cgp with standard options.
the bilinear filter under video options= off

I would like to talk about the resolution. I noticed that even lowering the resolution the TV switches but then remains on 1080p. the game changes resolution but always within the native choice in the ps3. have you noticed improvements by lowering the resolution?

please post core setup and improvements for share knowledge
thank you

Answering your question, I prefer using my new super-xbr shaders I just updated for Retroarch (works on PS3 as it's in Cg, see below).

Worked on most shaders to work with current Retroarch CE (which is slower than 1.0.0.2). This is my simplified collection of shaders that work and run at 60fps on Retroarch for PS3.

Added:
- b-spline (multipass shader very fast);
- bicubic-fast (multipass shader very fast);
- lanczos3-fast (multipass shader very fast);
- crt-hyllian-pvm (multipass too);
- super-xbr now comes in only three flavors: fast, small-details and vanilla;

I've changed how most shaders are upscaled. For example, 4xSoft now uses b-spline multipass to upscale from 4x to screen viewport. So, 4xSoft never looked so good! The same applies to: 2xsal, super-2xsai, advanceaa, 2xScaleHq, 4xScaleHq and xBR family.

hi where I can download 1.0.0.2? that version have different core? so we can use old core on new CE RA?

No idea where it can be found. And you won't need it as the CE version is more bug free. 1.0.0.2 lacks many features.

Did you try my New shader Pack? Even advanceaa will look better now.

you mean your zip file? il I haven't tried it yet. I have other questions =

1 how to use sixaxis like zapper? (duck hunt nes for example). i'm going crazy i've tried a thousand configurations with no success

2 how to use bezel or console artwork? I mean a frame around the game screen (eg the shape of the gameboy)

3 i have setup successfully a lan games but not internet multiplayer

Hey, added more two shaders:

- crt-nobody (a very fast crt shader)
- retro-tiles (a good shader for handheld systems)

Bonus: crt-nobody-sharpsmooth (a bonus combining crt and sharpsmooth)

EDIT: for some reason, retro-tiles presents a bug when running on PS3 (works ok on PC). It's the same bug presented in auto-box/box-max.cg shader.

To overcome this bug, you need to set Scale to Integer and use the Custom mode.

I found my diagnostic online :

Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder is characterized by a pervasive preoccupation with orderliness, perfectionism, and control (with no room for flexibility) that ultimately slows or interferes with completing a task. Diagnosis is by clinical criteria.

It was triggered by these damn shaders :))
Anyone could please suggest a good shader combo for SNES ? I've been testing all day and can't decide. CRT-easymode is nice but maybe it can be improved .
