I respect you owning up to the mistake. The information int he post above mine should get you back up and running. I've accidentally flashed busybox to my nor once, and FSM saved me, so you might not be completely out of the water.

Actually, it wasn't really accidental as much as I used an android microSD that had hidden files I was unaware of. I honestly have no idea htf it flashed that file, but i had the proper bkpps3 and all...but it was my fault. lol

Thanks dude ! but i have a many questions. i need to downgrade to 3.55 in order to fix the rsod ? can i do it with rebug rex 4.82.2? because it has cfw options built in and theres no need to downgrade to enter in fsm and how can i make a dump of my nor? i don

If your on CFW already you can downgrade - Just make sure qa toggle is on. Theres a button combo you can do to bring up extra settings for debug letting you know qa toggle is on - You can google it
 
Ok psykosis, I soldered a wire to tristate to keep console on, flashed original dump back to console, unsoldered wire and the console stays on. So now im back to where i started! Got 2 dumps, both have data match error and this time i checked both in md5 and are identical. I also checked first 3 dumps and they were also identical. So you think think this is going to be a parts console or is it possible to salvage?

Update.....

I successfully reflashed the original dump back to the console, took 3 more dumps and all 3 had same error as first 3 so I checked with md5 patched dump and the console booted! I did install rogero 3.55 with rsod bypass but as soon as I install rebug the ole rsod is back. I did find a YT video of someone making a cfw 4.83 cex pro firmware that supposedly takes care of rsod. I might take a stab at it and see what happens.

Did you follow my steps?

Did you install 3.55 ofw 1st after rogero rsod pup and was qa toggle on before update?


1) Read nor - Take a few dumps and make sure their identical
2) Check nor dump with patchers and make sure they are good dumps

4) Flash PS3 with New pathced nor dump
5) Enter FSM

Yes, I am hoping to get a chance to today! I am just a little confused about the fsm step. I am on 3.55 dg firmware. Can I use the fsm pkg to enter? And when I am in fsm do I need to do anything or just exit fsm and continue with steps? Sorry for the dumb questions I never encountered a rsod console before.

When on 3.55 any - I enter FSM with a dongle and power eject

Put get in fsm files on root of sd - its 2 files - lvl2 and rogers 3.55

Once that finishes I put exit fsm files on flash and insert 2 closest usb to bluray drive

Turn on and ps3 will turn off

Turn back on and your on rogeror 3.55 spoffed to I forgot what FW

From here qa toggle if not already then 3.55 OFW

Then install your 4.8x cfw
