PS2 SCPH 50001 fan delay start. Is this normal?

I have a SCPH 50001 ps2 .

When I turn my ps2 on , it takes 5 seconds for the fan to cut on. Is this normal? Whereas my 30001 model , the fan turns on as soon as you turn on the system.
Can anyone who owns a 50001 can confirm this?

Do you mean 5 seconds after pressing the power button? If yes, my 50003 does the same thing. Why would you worry about it?

Because my 30001 model fan starts right away . I wasnt sure if there was something wrong with my 50001 model -- i just thought it was odd that it would take a few seconds (5 secs) for the fan to start.

It probably just takes a bit more time for the internals to warm up and hit some threshold to enable the fan, than on earlier version of the console
