PS3 HAN [SOLVED] How to convert PS3_GAME with update to pkg?

Did you test any game with lic.dat file? if so, did it work? i'm about to try god of war 3, gonna take some time

Download the rap file from ***PlayStation Store*** and place the rap file along with the idps.hex and Act.dat file in the resigner tool(available @ PS3Xploit page) and run the .exe file you will now get a .riff File nd a signed act.dat file. The last step is that, you should copy the .riff file nd signed Act.dat file to a usb nd connect it to ur PS3 console in the right slot(near the bd drive), run the act.dat copier and enjoy the game!!

I tried with SAO Lost Song, and in the end I got the same error 8001003D saying to insert the disk
You should have edited the param.sfo file nd convert the game from BD to HG first nd start packing the pkg using pkg toolkit gui. now try to install the game pkg(using a web server if the game is more than 4 gb) nd Don't forget to run the 'enable debug pkg' from the han toolbox.hope this will help you

Thanks for the tip, but that's what I did, as you can see in one my previous reply, I have successfully installed 4 games and one that I packed using the updated bat and signed with the ps3xploit resigner, so I don't need the debug pkg exploit, it takes more time, but I feel is better.
I tried with the modified param.sfo, just like I said in #3 and with the new bat, neither booted, now I'm trying with the PS3_GAME without any modification

Have You Tried It??

Hey, so I tried this method and the 3 pkgs were successfully created. The signed LIC and patch pkgs install fine, however when installing the game pkg, it gives a 80029563 error after installing 14%. I'm really new to this stuff, any help is appreciated!

Enable the han enabler before installing perhaps it will work. can you tell where your patch pkg located after installation

Just to say that the ,method on page 1 worked with no erros, as this kind of archives have lic.edat no need to activation, just install the 3 PKG's and play :D

Please stop spreading misinfo, neither of these apply to converted PS3_GAME, follow the steps I posted on the first page, it's the only way to reliably get it to work.

Okay, I've figured it out, here's how to do it:

First you need to "prepare" the game like you would for backup injection using something like CFW2OFW Helper. This should give you 2 folders, one starting with BL/BC (BLUS, etc) and one starting with NP (NPUB, etc).
Then you need to download , place the BL/BC+NP folders in the same folder as the .bat, and run the .bat.
This should make either 3 pkgs, all starting with 000000-NP. Run these 3 pkgs through ps3xploit_rifgen_edatresign.exe to obtain _signed.pkg versions. Install all 3 of these on your PS3 without Debug PKG enabled. You should now be able to play!

Thank you. Very helpful. I've almost finished to install pkgs. I'll update with the result

After installed the PKGs, when I try to open the game, it asks me to use the proper disc. Is it possible that I had to edit PARAM.sfo category from DG to HG before using CFW2OFW Helper to get the 2 folders at the beginning ?

You have to patch it with cfw2ofw helper than only i think you would get that 2 folders proper

Ok, its working. If I understand correctly, only CFW2OFW compatibile backups on the list will work with that method righ? Backups without update/patch wont work at all?
