I wouldn't say all but so many are incompatible in one way or another, that making SSD in PS3 a roulette.

All standard 2,5 inch storage media which can be connected via SATA-I/II/III will fit. There are non standard yet very rare cases (to high, to width etc). Let's say, all SSDs will fit, and nearly all HDDs. If you asking about external storage, then I dunno. In theory everything communicating via MSC protocol over USB should work, today and from future.
