PS2 SONY PSX DV-R DESR HAS BEEN TRANSLATE TO FRENCH !

Maby early to ask, but how is this translation in terms of 100% working?

Would be funny if a french translate works better then the english one :p

I think it's better to stick to japanese

Even use the incomplete official English translation

Wich can be enabled by changing OSD language with HDD-OSD
 
This translation is 100% operational, you don't lose functionality. I spent hours translating everything, it's better than the US version ;)
 
good question ! it is up to the team that did the English translation to answer. for my part, like everyone else, I tested the English translation, I was surprised to see that a lot of things were translated very oddly. To do the French translation I translated all the Japanese text into French directly. by scrutinizing the system files, we realize that sony had planned an English version, but the texts are incomplete, there is a lot missing. Which is not the case of the French version
 
While french is a beautiful language, I don't understand any of it xD

Is there a possibility to redo the french in english?
I think most of the psx users would benefit from it.
 
Some "multi language setting/selection" for the PSX would be interesting.

It is ~6MB as far as I recently heard and the flash is at least 8MB, so that should be feasible/possible.

How can I download that? It is not resource files to replace but patcher in executable form? Because I see only this after registration:

desr_fr_1.png desr_fr_2.png
Which download "psx-desr-2.10-trad-fr-v1.0.elf" which is a patcher I believe, right? So all the rest bbc spoilers are just place holders or I should see something there too?
 
Only 2.10 is available atm yeah; others are placeholders, 1.31 being WIP.
The ELF is an installer (more like a file copier). Running it once copies the translated files. Running it again restores the original files. Files are embedded. "Télécharger" is the button you click to DL the executable.

do you guys have plans to create an improved version for english translation?
