I tested here, keeping another controller charging and disconnected while charging and it didnt affect whatsoever. See if the option to autoupdate hen is enabled and disable it. When hen didnt had the option to disable autoupdate every once in a while it would crash when trying to seek an update.

I tried, but No difference with autoupdate Enabled or disabled (changed through hfw menu maintenance in Xmb) . The issue remains.
Instead, NO issues with usb pendrive fat32 or external hdd ntfs at the moment to Enable hen From Xmb..

This bug (if it is a bug - i'm waiting for other advices) appears Only with a turned off dualshock3 under charge at the moment to click Enable hen.

Settings & apps installed are the same of hfw 4.89 - hen 3.1.1... Only difference i have to update webman From v.40 to.44 , but i don't think it's webman fault (i cannot install & test webman older version anymore if i want Enable hen without freeze)

Could you disable webman and test? I can test this later also and see what happens.

I uninstalled webman From webman setup options & i deleted webman installer from xmb...
Nothing changed

Hello, I have a problem. Please respond. My Sony 3 is on hen version 4.89. I have broadcasted the CCAPI program, and it no longer gives me a signal on a TV. I know that I did not have to download it, but unfortunately it was delayed.

Maybe try to take the hdd out of the ps3 and format it in a pc to NTFS and then put it back in the ps3 so that way it could maybe format it again so you can install hfw. also what does it mean for it to be delayed?

Maybe i found a bug with new hen 3.2.0

When you try to Enable hen When dualshock 3 is under charge but turned off, Enable hen Will loading forever. During This loading, if you turn on the pad (always under charge), Enable hen Will work instantly.. Same if you remove che cable From usb Port.

I tried:
In 2 different ps3 (slim & super slim)
2 different cables
2 different original dualshock 3
In Both usb port

Is it normal???

Something similar happened to me.

As I mentioned before, I was able to install everything without problems:

EDIT:
I put a blank boot_plugins.txt file on a USB drive like esc0rtd3w said and was able to start HEN with no problem.
webMAN MOD 1.47.44 appears disabled.
Then I turned off my PS3, removed the USB drive, turned on and started HEN with webMAN MOD with no problem...

But when I go to enable HEN from XMB, it stays loading forever. The console does not freeze, I can use the browser options and return with the O button, but the screen will not show icons, only the background.

I can turn off the console with the PS button on the Dualshock 3, but the console will never turn off and keeps blinking green.
I had a control connected charging, when I disconnected the cable, the console turned off instantly.

boot_plugins.txt on USB works. But I turn off the console again to re-enable HEN + webMAN MOD and it works, but the next day it doesn't work...

I have used the R2 button option, but I think it has not worked for me.

I have a Slim console and I have never deactivated the Autoupdate HEN option.

they are almost the same. one small difference. you have to install hfw anyway for hen, so you might as well use it to save installing again later. i have not even downloaded an ofw pup since 4.85 maybe 4.86.

My brother's hdmi port is broken, it can be repaired. The important thing is that I am currently working with an av output with three heads. Do I have to work with an hdmi output in order for the image to appear to me, or not necessarily after I work in safe mode? Please reply, thank you.

Today I tried to do the same thing and the exact same thing happens to me.

By enabling HEN (XMB) it keeps charging forever, but when I press the PS button of my Dualshock 3 (Connected with USB cable without turning on). Enable HEN Will work instantly.

It also works for me by removing the USB cable directly as aleks1992 said.

This option is also available as a toggle under HFW Tools

There is another issue with HEN. So I installed Hen and it worked for 2 days. Then one day when i activated HEN it just kept on spinning. Restart -> spinning ->restart ->spinning ->forced check filestructure ->tried enable Hen ->spinning. Had to reinstall HEN and after a couple of tries (5) it worked again, using the boot_plugins.txt and having updated Webman to latest. Worked for 2 days again. Now its spinning again. This is horrid, why has this garbage even gone public?

This is my problem aswell! HEN bugs on reading USB-ports. When i have keyboard dongle in my USB i need to unplug it first or HEN keeps just spinning forever. ... hmmmm give me some time to check this..

If its such garbage, then don't use it. I have had zero problems. Try using the debug mode and dump a socat log if you want. Maybe it will help.

Sry that i got so irritated, i LOVE you for creating this amazing program. But it got so frustrating that i went from a working system 4.89 to this [for me] instable very hard to install version. But I didnt realise the spinning HEN was the USB-ports. Had my diNovo edge dongle attached on far right and charging cable with controll far left port on CECH3004B slim. 4.89 didnt mind plugged in USB-ports

@Joonie @aldostools @esc0rtd3w or someone around, sorry to ping you but I want to talk about an issue going on on the new HFW or PS3HEN I'm still not sure what is the problem due to. I have noticed that all PS1 games in bin/cue format that need an anti-piracy patch won't work on PS3 models with the 4.90.1 HFW and latest HEN installed. I have tried Ape Escape, Spyro - Year of the dragon, Spyro 2 and Disney World Quest - Magical Racing tour; I Have tested both patched and unpatched versions but all of them get stucked and console freezes after the first loading phase (PS logo or first language selection). All those games worked on previous HFW and Hen so I wanted to know why now is impossible playing those games on HEN capable console. I tried also on Evilnat 4.90 CFW and they all work properly. Thanks in advice
