PS3 Sync trophies on PS3

Hey guys, I've had a modded PSVita for a few months and just now modded my PS3 with EvilNat Cobra 4.88.3, so I'm new to this scene.

I would like to have the trophies I earn playing in my modded PS3 synced to my main PSN account (which I use on my modded Vita and unmodded PS4). What do I have to do exactly for keeping it safe from being banned?

From what I reserched, I should first disable CFW syscalls, second login to my PSN account, third disconnect from my account, then enable syscalls again, earn some trophies, and then I can sync the trophies again. Is this right? I feel like I'm missing something here...

Anyway, thanks in advance for any answers on this.

I wouldn't use an account linked to anything you paid for. A ban on PS3 means all content from PSP, PS3, PS4, PS5 & Vita

I read more than a few people saying if you don't play online with a modded ps3 it should be ok.

I understand the only way to guarentee no ban is to never even go online, but is syncing teophies something that would raise red flags on sony's part?

If the trophies are all legit & not tampered with, there should be no reason for the syncing trophies process itself to raise any red flag.
But with PSN services, the problem is more complex than that, there are other factors to take into consideration even though we don't have an exhaustive list. We know spoofing (idps or fw version) is a risk factor, custom syscalls too, we suspect the boot history, etc etc..

Assuming all your trophies are legit, you don't use spoofing & custom syscalls are disabled, connecting to PSN, syncing trophies & disconnecting PSN should not be risky.
But if you are afraid to sync them from CFW & risk a PSN account ban on top of a console ban, you have 2 "easy-ish" options to work around your problem & reduce the risk factor drastically:

1. Install littlebalup DB OFW 4.88, it's an OFW 4.88 with minimal patching to keep the jailbreak & be able to reinstall CFW after syncing the trophies.
2. Install OFW 4.88, sync your trophies then jailbreak with PS3 Toolset & reinstall your CFW.

Yeah I only synced trophies and used Netflix back when I got my ban but it wasn't the syncing as they were all legit. Just disable syscalls before syncing and you should be safe.

Thanks for the replies.

Installing OFW then reinstalling CFW everytime I want to sync trophies seems a bit too much of a hassle just for this.

Guess I was hoping more people would say they synced their trophies that way, for me to be really convinced of doing it. :D

Many people do it & never have problems but we are being straight with you, there is always a risk & the more customisations there is in play while using PSN services the higher the risk.

anyone have updates on this? I would also like to sync trophies without the hassle of reintsalling cfw - has there been any progress with evilnat and firmware 4.91?

not really. we can mitigate the risks, but there will never really be any way to know whether or not you'll be banned for something. however, I'd say the risk is pretty low these days. as long as you don't play certain games, like cod, gta5, destiny, you should be good.

I'm not worried about being banned, my problem is actually getting the trophies to sync in the first place I can log into PSN but can't activate the console - I get error codes with that as well as trying to sync offline trophies. I've deleted all fake account ID and act.dat files but the problem still persists :(

dunno. however, if you're banned, you won't be able to sync trophies anymore. sony bans accounts and systems if you're caught on cfw, so trophies won't sync on any other console with the same account. that's definitely a deterrent for some. I hope sony learned their lesson, and doesn't ban for being on hen for ps4/5, but rather for those who used pirated copies of games. that's my concern as well.

can offline trophies be transferred from one user to another on the same system?

I'm not sure actually. I think trophies are tied to your account id.
Make sense now, only way to sync is to revert back to OFW I guess. Do you know how HEN works? bc you can sync with HEN installed, and if I'm not mistaken HEN just acts like a SEN enabler?

With HEN is the same thing as CFW, you have a system that's been tampered with somehow.

In any case, syncing trophies on OFW is not safe either because those can be tampered and injected to the HDD.

@Lana Trophies need to be resigned (and there is no 100% safe and reliable method to do it). As I already told you in different thread, when you removed NPAID, you removed ownership. You will experience strange errors if you will not do it, including indexes corruption.

Removing NPAID means act.dat no longer matching so it is automatically deleted by VSH on startup. That's why it is "deactivated". And also you are wrong, you don't need Sony services for activation. You need valid (existing in their servers) NPAID to use in Apollo for activating/reactivating.
