PS2 [Testers Needed] Open PS2 Loader with exFAT support (files above 4GB on USB)

Support for exFAT has already been integrated into the main OPL repository. There's no "custom" build anymore, any of the latest beta will have it.

Support for ExFAT only includes USB and FireWire devices through the BDM. Grim Doomer's fork ported that to the internal HDD and, as far as I know, it has NOT been merged into Ifcaro yet because Ulaunch needed to be updated to support ExFAT for internal HDDs.

doesnt detect my exfat hdd that worked with grim doomers builds.
Because this is thread is about exFAT for USB devices (and MX4SIO), not for Internal HDD, you still need the other custom build for that.
Support for exFAT on internal HDD has not yet been merged into the main project until it matures properly (which is well on its way, just give it time, smart people are working on it).

I installed it on my PS2 and it did not show any settings for "USB device start mode" , how am I able to launch games from USB?

Hi Guys!
I just recently got my hands on an untouched PS2(no modchip), it is an Phat-39001(if im right), free dvdboot has no effect so got a memcard off amazon, pretty neat stuff, OPL1.1.0 was on already, so i gave try a try with a Fat32 Pendrive, and stuttered most of the games not always, but were indeed stutters, also some games gave the fragmented error, so i updated it to the latest version 1.2.0Beta(it is nice to see the latest update was 3weeks ago). Tried newly bought pendrive ExFat, stutter noticebly reduced still present but way less, no fragment error at all on any of the games! Looking forward for further updates and new stuff, keep it alive!

I try this yesterday, finally everything is good
Just one thing, if this opl can support ps1 games like the opl anniversary is much much better
Cus now exfat is only for ps2 iso, and didnt any settings for ps1 games
If development can combine ps1 with exfat, this was a great opl version

Hello people. I have tested OPL beta OPNPS2LD-v1.2.0-Beta-2049-513e9b3 because I noticed version 1.2 would not launch games no matter what USB stick I used or how it was formatted. I found that OPL beta works a lot better and launches games without issues so far. I am using USB 3 stick (256 GB DataTraveler Max A, used 128 GB Sandisk Fit previously), both still formatted as FAT32. I really hope to see the new version in the stable branch soon enough. There are fixes in Beta that work better in my case, even without eXFat support.

I downloaded the latest version of OPL linked in the first page and my usb pen formatted to exfat is no long recognized by OPL
An older version does still work with my usb.
What may be the problem?

With the last version at 23 december, in the buzz jungle party game, the buzz controllers do not work, neither wired nor wireless, and in all the Buzz contest games only the wireless Buzz controllers work, the wired buzz controllers do not work.

I used my old laptop's 500GB USB SATA 2.0 (i converted ntfs to exfat), the light blinks but no games where listed
in both OPL versions (i used OPL v1.2.0 beta 2070)
can someone guide me whether i am missed anything

MBR or GPT? Try formatting it with MBR partition scheme (Use rufus for that).
Also, cluster size?

Hello I am extremely a noob in this and could use some hand holding. I downloaded the newest version of OPL and have it installed on my ps2 but cannot figure out how to get my ps1 games to work. Reason I updated is to use exFat drives. How do I setup the thumb drives to work?

You need to use BDMAssault if your drive is exFAT in order for the PS1 (POPStarter) games to work with such drives.

It work!
OPL installed on MC and set autorun with FMCB.
Games installed on 240GB ssd, exfat (formated under win8 with standart cluster size)
I tested 5 random games with over 4GB size, and all it work.
Video in some games freez every near 2 sec, but in other work properly.
