PS2 [Testers Needed] UDPBD - The next generation of loading games through LAN on a PS2!

Sorry, no problem!

@TnA By the way, out of curiosity, why has ETH needs to be disabled? Would "Manual" not be enough?

Hi, sorry to interrumpt but apparently somebody managed to make it run on a openwrt router, you can see it working on this youtube videos, one of them explain in a pinned message and shared the files required with a very very light explanation but there isn't a propper tutorial yet

PS2 OPL UDPBD ROUTER CONFIGURACIÓN
Test of UDPBD/exFAT features in Open PS2 Loader (OPL) through OpenWrt router

This is great! I just got it working on my SCPH-77001. The block device is a Kingston 120gb SSD formatted to exFAT connected via a USB 2.0 external dock. As stated, very fast and ran my games wonderfully. Similarly to another poster, I did have to remove the USB drive I had connected which I used to transfer OPL to my memory card; it was reading the USB first and not udpbd. Thanks for sharing this wonderful development!

Hi
I am using Arch Linux, i checked some games with 1973 build (SCPH-90004):

SLUS_202.34.MX Rider (crackling sound, tried mode 1+2 but not helped, from SMB works good)
SLUS_200.72.MX 2002 (everything is fine, but during the intro video the music is sometimes duplicated, I think the reading is too fast, it works fine with mode 1)
SLUS_203.68.MoH Frontline (little graphical issues on load screens, tried mode 1+2 but not helped, fmvs, menu, gameplay are fine)
SCPS_150.32.Formula One 2002 (works fine)
SCPS_150.98.Formula One 2005 (works fine)
SCPS_151.17.Fomrula One 2006 (works fine)
SLUS_200.58.MotoGP (works fine)
SLUS_202.85.MotoGP 2 (works fine)
SLUS_206.25.MotoGP 3 (works fine)
SLUS_211.59.MotoGP 4 (works fine)
SLES_549.59.MotoGP 07 (works fine)
SLES_552.66.MotoGP 08 (works fine)
SLES_547.05.SBK 07 (works fine)
SLES_551.48.SBK 08 (works fine)
SLES_554.92.SBK 09 (works fine)

I'll try more games later.

J:\PS2SMB>"J:\PS2SMB\udpbd-server.exe" \\.\J:
Error 5 attempting to lock device
Opened '\\.\J:' as Block Device
- read/write
- size = 1000202MB / 953867MiB, sector size = 512
Block size changed to 128
Server running on port 48573 (0xbdbd)
UDPBD_CMD_INFO from 192.168.1.10

And doesn't works at all.
Run server from a different volume.

SLUS_210.97.MX World Tour (works fine)
SLES_506.84.MoH Frontline (same work as NTSCU SLUS-203.68 version)
SCES_515.92.Formula One 2003 (works fine)
SLUS_203.99.MTX Mototrax (works fine)
SLUS_211.04.MX vs ATV Unleashed (works fine)
SLUS_217.01.MX vs ATV Untamed (works fine)

Version of games? Twinsanity v2 NTSC without that hanging bug after Dingodile battle and tWoC v1 NTSC. SLUS_209.09 and SLUS_202.38.

@TnA for clarity please edit 'CAN' to 'can ONLY use'. ;) Actually FAT16 aka FAT does work too if that matters.

I've tested four versions of Crash TWoC and i confirm none of them will start.
SLES_503.86 v1.03, 2.01
SLUS_202.38 v1.00, 1.01
I tried all modes.

In fact someone did port it to OpenWrt.
That's far from what I want...

I want updated server-versions to be automatically build for multiple OpenWrt-versions and a LUA-based LuCi-integration + both as IPKs.

Would be nice to see a client implementation of ps3netsrv to OPL. There is already different platforms where the server run: linux, windows, openWrt, Android...

I found this issue on ps3netsrv-android:
https://github.com/jhonathanc/ps3netsrv-android/issues/1

maybe jhonathanc already did it...

I didn't create a new device yet. I'm first developing all main features of the server.

I have a github action that builds for openwrt in different flavours for example:
https://github.com/jhonathanc/ps3netsrv-openwrt/blob/master/.github/workflows/main.yml
