PS3 Trouble connecting to ps3toolset site (Error 80710a06)

Hi all, whenever I try to enter ps3toolset site, I get "This page cannot be displayed (80710a06)."
I'm currently on 4.91 OFW. I noticed that it might be a SSL error, so I tried HTTP instead of HTTPS, but the browser automatically redirects to HTTPS.

Seems to be an issue with their servers. I get the same error even though I can connect to the site with a PC

i ended up using a russian bgtoolset clone (psxplace wont let me paste the link because its "dangerous")

probably stole my idps but i dont play online anyway lol

Yep, the certificate was updated yesterday (Thu, 04 Jul 2024 09:58:25 GMT) and was issued by Google Trust Services. Really odd oversight, not hard to imagine the root certificate for this CA is not present on any OFW at least.

Sadly, it doesn't appear that Flash Writer was updated for 4.91, so it seems we're stuck for now.

Because IT IS DANGEROUS!. It has bricked more consoles than any other stuff out there.

So please, don't use your personal case as evidence. You can't beat the Devil twice.

Same issue here as well, trying to get a CECH-2504B 0D CFW'd and the browser keeps erroring out with 80710a06. The http-instead-of-https trick doesn't work either.

In the other thread, a workaround was shared, it involves using `mitmproxy` on the computer and setting the computer's IP address (LAN) as proxy address in network settings of PS3. Disabling firewall or adding a rule may be necessary, I lost many hours not realising I forgot to do that :P

It re-encrypts all HTTPS traffic using its self-signed cert that needs to be accepted, and then any and all websites should connect on PS3 as long as `mitmproxy` is running and the proxy is assigned. That includes ps3toolset of course, and the whole process of reading and writing to flash went successfully from my own testing.

As for the SSL issue itself, the main thread for it seems to be "BG Toolset SSL Issues (80710A06 Error) (July 2024)".

Would you be willing to help me through the process? Whenever I attempt to use the mitmproxy method, I get the "80710028" error code. I got my computer's IP and was able to create my proxy but I am unable to begin the flash method due to the error. I am on OFW 4.91

Tried that, while it does work and I can now access the site... I get a error saying "PS3 exploitation framework download failed". I'm on 4.89 OFW if that helps.

EDIT: Error 80710028 as well in the Logs window.

The linked post provides instructions for doing it on Windows, on Linux I believe it was enough for me to install it and run it.

I noticed that there have been more posts like this today in other threads:

...so I'd assume that some maintenance was done on server side which makes it unusable. I can test at a later point, but at the moment I am dealing with a unit that likes to overheat quite quickly.

Can you write it in a different way or through a pastebin link, please? Bought a Fat last night and can't watch my region 2 Blurays
