PS3 HAN [TUTORIAL] Convert PSX/PS2/PSP Games for PS3Xploit 3.0 HAN

Sorry for contributing to the headache guys, I've been at this whole PS3Xploit thing since late morning yesterday and can't seem to get anything to work. I followed the PS2 guide here and continously get slapped with 0800 errors. I think it may be worth noting that when I encrypt my ISO it forces itself to be called ISO.BIN.ENC.BIN.ENC. Should I make my own thread so I don't have to bombard everyone here with what I've tried? Thanks, and sorry again.

No you're good man, I'm here for that.

Well, first of all the fact that your iso forces itself to be called this way is weird. Can't you rename it at the end of conversion ?

Thanks man, I'll tell you from experience - never try this stuff when its your birthday lol. I did rename it down to ISO.BIN.ENC and the package creator on the PS2 program found the file after I did that but no joy no matter how many times I tried. I have written down all the things I've tried, is there a way to email it to you? Sorry again, I'm stupidly new.

Alright, first I'm just going to try a smaller game so I make sure I'm not wasting anyone's time (I was being stubborn with Silent Hill 3). I think the thing I'm getting stuck with is "Sign with PS3xploit rifgen resigner" do I have my act.dat and idps.hex in the resigner folder then plop the ISO.BIN.ENC into the program? I do remember trying that with SH3 and ended up with an error message when I eventually got the pkg installed on the ps3

I changed the name a bit and got the newest up to date ps3tools and it's currently encrypting :D

Well normally yes, all you have to do is sign your ISO.BIN.ENC
 
After you create de encrypt file in CEX, drag the file into "ps3xploit_rifgen_edatresign", and create the PKG, the title ID you find in google search.
the PKG its created, you sign again with "ps3xploit_rifgen_edatresign" and take de .rap file in "ps3tools>tools>scetool>RAPS" and take the 2P0001-PS2U10000_00-0000111122223333.rap, to create a .rif file and inject with xploit.
 
this worked for me


Get your PS2 game in a bin/iso format
Open PS2ClassicsGUI
Encrypt
Get the resulting ISO.BIN.ENC
Sign with PS3xploit rifgen resigner
Go back to PS2ClassicsGUI
Make PKG :
Right click the Image/Background if you want to edit it
Double click "PS2 Classics" to put the name of your game
Put whatever you want as TitleID, you can search your game's on Google
Once you're done Make your PKG and put the result on your FAT32 usb
Now download PS2 Placeholder R3 pkg : https://store.brewology.com/get/homebrew.php?id=232&fid=947
You will also need to get the rap file for it (2P0001-PS2U10000_00-0000111122223333.rap) i cant link that. search on google
Sign the rap file with rifgen so you could get a rif
Inject the rif file and act.dat to your PS3 either with the HEN exploit,either with a tutorial that I will do sooner
Install the Placeholder and the game
Enjoy.
