That's very interesting then. I wonder if other people on PAL Super Slim and later Slim models have had the same thing happen to them as us.

@habib Is it at all possible that there is a minor bug with PAL systems (mine is on OFW) causing packages to only be installed through debug mode?

Also I got Silent Hill 3 (PAL) working with Sakimotor's method just now.
i can install packages like ps3 games only with HAN Enabler. but for ps2 games i have to use debug pkg.i dont know if its a bug with pal or something else.

@habib i saw a guy saying that he got banned on the patched account and on the main account that he has on his ps3.

is there a risk involved?

can you go further on what can we do to be safe» and what we should not do»

thanks for your great work and for the 1.2.3 resigner its much better

bro i know that youre one of the devs. im the guy that posted the nfs most wanted game working i know how to make ps2 games work. and for them to work properly i had to use debug pkg otherwise i i use han enabler it wont even install it just shows a error code
You resigned enc directly which is also not a good way. The tool resigns the files inside pkg then it converts to han style pkg
Again, read the tut and you will understand

I really don't get why he don't listen to you (okay, he found his solution, maybe thats why), but if he doesn't listen at least several other people will do.

Figures I had the habit to directly encrypt the bin file because of the 4Gb limitation your resigner had on pkg before haha

So i have my ps2 pkgs installed but when i try to run them they launch into a black screen as if i had lost video source. Any workaround?

Right that's my two tests complete. I did Silent Hill 3 PAL using Sakimotor's method (resigning the ENC) and Silent Hill 3 NTSC-J following habib's method (resigining the PKG). Silent Hill 3 PAL worked but the NTSC-J one gives me an error message 80029567 when trying to install it (even on debug mode). Chances are with the later I did something wrong again even though I followed it by the letter (been doing this all day now so my brain could be checking out). If anyone has similar problems that I've had with it not working at all for PS2 games please make sure the following (at least on OFW).

- As habib told me, keep your PS3xploit-resigner-master folder clear of any previous pkgs, raps, rifs etc when you go to resign a file (also make sure the file you are resigning is in the same folder)

-With my personal experience, keep the ISO you are encrypting on the desktop. When I tried saving the encrypted image to another partition it would automatically save as ISO.BIN.ENC.BIN.ENC even though I had renamed it to ISO before saving. If you're in the same position as me, even if you have it on the desktop it will pop up with ISO.BIN.ENC.BIN.ENC but will save as ISO.BIN.ENC if you rename it to ISO in the save field. Why this happened with me I have no clue, but even when I tried renaming the conga-line file on the partition -- the game wouldn't install properly when packaged. It is possible it became a damaged file.

-In my case habib's signing the package didn't work. If it doesn't work for you, you may fare better sticking to signing the ISO.BIN.ENC then packing method. I would like to be clear that I'm not saying habib is wrong, just that in my bizarre situation it wasn't working.

-Again in my case, I was using a 4gb usb stick which I only had the packages folder on my root with the needed package files inside. None of this worked when I had my PS3Xploit-resigner-master folder cluttered, so I kept my memory stick neat and tidy too just to be safe.

-If your game appears to be loading, for me there are multiple screen refreshes, but then crashes and cuts to an error message "80028F17" it is a disc read error and chances are your game is not compatible.

-You need to enable HAN to play games installed this way. Also when you quit a game you will need to re-enable HAN. I found I didn't have to sign into the PSN for the enabler to work. Chances are if you get an error code that ends in 30, HAN needs to be enabled.

-In the case of installing the PS2 pkg I needed to enable debug mode before it would do so.

This is no doubt an odd case and I'm certain I had so many problems yesterday because I complicated things for myself but hopefully this will be useful to someone who ends up in a similar circumstance. I would like to thank Sakimotor, habib, the rest of the PS3Xploit 3.0 team and everyone else who helped me. It's been one crazy couple of days, but I've learned a lot about the tools at hand and for me that's at least one third of the battle. The rest is trying to stop my brain from being stupid lol. Honestly thanks again guys!

I tested NBA street V2 and DBZ budokai tenkaichi 3 and both would show loading animations but just a dead screen after that. No error messages or booting to XMB. I had to reboot to close app

I tried op's method, but didn't work for me, Habib's tutorial worked fine :+1: (related to ps2 games)

Extract the iso so it gives you a structure with something like that (usually it'inside the PS3_GAME folder) :
Open Param SFO with this tool
Rename the "PS3_GAME" folder with your TitleID

Now copy instal this tool :

Copy your game to the "game" folder

Launch the repacker, choose "fast pkg"

Get your pkg in the "pkg" folder

Install it.

Hi, Sakimotor, it works with any ps3 iso? No need another step like LIC. dat or update?
After get the pkg, can i split this to install games bigger than 4gb? (I know the webserver mode, but i want to try via external fat32) I want to install TLOUS :D Sorry my bad english.
