PS3 [TUTORIAL] How to split a large PKG file for OFW

In splitting PKG if there is a file over 4gb in the PKG the program cannot split the file to create small PKG. this a huge drawback in this method [emoji41]

Hi, I seem to struggle with the License side of things, do I need to resign games that require a RAP file then split it? Or am I completely off on it?

Should probably mention PKG Linker isnt an option atm since I dont have any LAN cables laying around.

Resign games is not needed but rap file is a must without it the console won't allow you to play the game

Just wanna be sure im even on the right thread xd, this is for people who use HAN on Ps3xploit right?

IDK of any way to use the rap file aside from the resigner method to generate the RIF that turns into the RIF Installer pkg file.

Also dunno if its worth mentioning but im using Aldos PKG Splitter since the one attached had too many errors for me xd.

Yes this is thread for ofw Han and it doesn't matter which tool you use.and the rap file method your using is correct just fellow that itself

So let me get this straight, I use my legally acquired copy of MW2 in PKG format straight from the PSN that sadly for some reason requires a RAP, I dont resign it? then I resign the RAP into RIF into a RIF Installer pkg? Or do I use the Ps3xploit V3 Act.dat/RIF Copier?

Yes install the split PKG mw2(unsigned) first and then install Rif PKG(signed).make sure you have the correct rap file

Alright thanks for the help, wanna be sure though, Unsigned Game -> Split -> Install Via Debug, Signed RIF Installer PKG -> Install with regular HAN Enabler

All seems well on the RIF PKG, I'll install it and give it a shot will update shortly thanks my dude.

The non signed Game appears to not have worked, since it gave me the please activate the system error after I isntalled the RIF Pkg.

Will try signing the game then split then install signed RIF will update.

No not the PS Store Pop Up, that pops up before I install the RIF, after I install it it pops up saying I need to activate my account via account management, to my knowledge thats an error that occurs when the PKG isnt signed.

Before you suggest me to double check if the secondary account that I use for act.dat and idps is activated it Is and I tested another PKG via USB and it worked, only having trouble with split PKG. Guess I'll run by the store and get me some LAN cables.

Oh ok I haven't faced this error so I don't know much about it
