PS3 [TUTORIAL] How to split a large PKG file for OFW

Well after attempting several methods with MW2, Destiny (both from a PSN PKG), Prototype 2 and Infamous 2 (both backups to PKG) I leave as my final solution to resign the game PKG along with the RIF, then split the game install it via Debug, then Soft Reboot to install the RIF PKG .

EDIT:

Forgot to mention the game only works if installed on the account/user the idps.hex and act.dat were dumped from.

Also not saying my method will guarentee 100% sucess rate for me so far it has.

I think you got the error as you had installed the game on a non active account.oh well good to see the method is working.and good job on the error update

No I isntalled the game on the account i got my act.dat and idps.hex file, guess my ps3 doesnt like unsigned content xd

So if splitting can't work if the game has a file greater than 4 gb, then it works by Dividing the files into different pkgs and doesn't really 'split'. For example if a pkg has a bunch of X megabytes of files and a 4 gb file, it'll create a pkg containing those X files and another pkg with the 4gb file. Correct me if I'm wrong. So basically it's useless and more time consuming

Splitting only work for game size more 4+GB then will splitted to 1,2,3,4 GB

What about file in pkg greater than 4 gb such as god of god of war 2 the size of iso.bin.enc is 7 gb how i can split pkg contain that file (ps2 classic)
