Hiya!
I'm going to give you guide for PSStore default background change to your own favorite background!

2. Search - background replace confirmed by @pony-modz

How can I find PSStore folder and file? There go.
1. Find your PSStore -

/dev_hdd0/game/NPIA00025/USRDIR/

2. Make backup your PSStore file/folder original
3. If you want to use your own background, you must use the same resolution as default one. If you don't do make it same, it will crash your PSStore back to a dashboard or freeze your PS3.
4. How can I replace for a background? Here

PSStore - Default background
1 - (Original background is no longer show on PSStore)
/dev_hdd0/game/NPIA00025/USRDIR/default.png
2. /dev_hdd0/game/NPIA00025/USRDIR/Resources/bg/common/bg.png
3. /dev_hdd0/game/NPIA00025/USRDIR/Resources/bg/common/bg_blue.png
4. /dev_hdd0/game/NPIA00025/USRDIR/Resources/bg/vu/videolib_bg.png
5. /dev_hdd0/game/NPIA00025/USRDIR/Resources/bg/common/search_bg.png
6. /dev_hdd0/game/NPIA00025/USRDIR/Resources/bg/common/search_search_bg_sd.png

5. Upload to FTP server until complete it, then start up on PSStore, the background will show up for you!

PS4 could be possible same on PS3 - PSStore folder/file. Until the release PS4 CFW or Bypass for PSN Spoofer. I will be work with PS4 4.55 on PSStore, A moment for a kernel exploit and PSN Spoofer no release yet. I hope in future possibly soon.

Unfortunately. Search default background is fine. You cannot replace this with a background. Eyes would not possible to see text.
